Short term media long term people

the truth

The media’s attention to a particular story is rather short term while the impact on the people is long term. This formula creates a disconnect and hostility between those writing the news and those living it in which neither side truly believes their story is being told.  A fine illustration of this is the Israeli Palestinian conflict where past conflicts and good will gestures get brushed aside to report the current conflict. It is important that people don’t live today based on what happened fifty or hundred years ago but being aware of history helps to insure that it doesn’t repeat itself in the future.  Here is a way(below) this can be solved.

(1) Actual clear facts of what is occurring on the ground.

(2) Followed by clear facts that can be substantiated and documented that occurred within the past week or so from both sides.

(3) A brief fact based history of how events in the past might have led to such a conflict today.

(4) Points of agreement between both sides if any can be found.

I have a good life….or do I?

ponder 2

Compared to where others stand I guess I have a good life but I just feel there’s something I’m missing.  I guess I should be grateful for being adopted by loving parents from a past that felt like I was contained in a cage. Many of my other friends have spent their entire life in such situations. Just a quick background for the purpose of this blog call me Mrs. C and note that it’s hard for me to focus. Oh can it be! I’m so excited! Sorry I thought I found my special toy. Anyway here are a just a few ways my life is different then my sister and brother.

(1) I HAVE NO CLOTHES unless you count one raincoat. It’s not like I’m cold or anything it’s just when I go outside sometimes I would like to wear something other then my birthday suit. I guess I get my business done quickly this way.

(2) ON GOOD DAYS I EAT SCRAPS. It’s not that I’m complaining (I guess it is) but everyone else is eating a lavish meal and sometimes they’ll throw me a bone or something. I could use something now my stomach is turning.

(3) I NEVER CONTROL THE REMOTE CONTROL. Maybe just maybe there’s a show I want to watch. Probably not there so long but some of those commercials look delicious. I’m thinking with my stomach again it’s amazing I keep such a fine body.

(4) I…… found it! It’s really here! My little ball! I can’t believe it! Paradise awaits!

Arm and Train Freedom Fighters

From the rebels who are fighting for their lives in ISIS controlled Iraqi and Syria to the rebels looking to overthrow the brutal regime of Hamas it’s time to arm and train these freedom fighters.  Training should not only include military training but education in formulating a truly democratic republic. Many fear that if these rebels lose battles against the enemy that the arms will fall into their hands but a GPS tracking device located in such weapons could solve such problems. If the enemy does get there hands on such weapons we could easily find there position and see that they are annihilated in the sea and sky. The United States doesn’t have to put a foot on the battlefield but must make sure that there is a foot that knows where victory and Democracy lies.

An Amendment to the Constitution

AMENDMENT

I believe the founding fathers didn’t foresee a Constitutional crisis that could occur very shortly. A crisis where the President willingly violates his/her oath of office to fully execute the laws of the land and even uses powers reserved for the legislative branch, yet there is no feasible way to remove this President from office.   Most Presidents have respected their constitutionally limitations but this appears to be eroding and with no logically way to remove the President why wouldn’t it erode further in the future.  Without a strong threat I fear that the power of the office will become a burden to us all.

The Constitution requires that the House vote for articles of Impeachment and that it by tried in the Senate where 2/3 would have to vote in favor for the President to be forced out of office. This is nearly an impossible hurdle to overcome because the President’s Party wouldn’t vote for his/her removal unless it was truly extreme. In the past the thought of being seriously brought up for impeachment would shame the President to resign but as we’ve seen with “Bill Clinton” and “Andrew Jackson” they not only got impeached but thrived afterwards.  It’s time for a new amendment (below) to secure our freedoms and liberty.

(1) If a President violates his/her oath of office by repeatingly not executing the laws of the land, using powers reserved for other branches or enacts measures that interfere with the basic bill of rights then a majority in the house will bring action to the court to seize and desist from these action.  Upon a  guilty verdict the President will have to seize from such action. The Senate will have to vote within 30 days if this has been a serious enough violation of the constitutional authority of the Presidency . If a clear majority in the Senate belief the President has violated his constitution authority then the Supreme Court will hear the case. The majority will decide and if found guilty the President will be immediately removed from office.
