Reagan was the “influencer” who truly pulled me into the world of politics so you can imagine the excitement I felt when discovering the movie was soon to be released only to be popped like a Harris balloon when some air was let out. The critics panned the movie and when I realized the over 2 hour mark I wondered whether the film side of me would beat out the political one.  The critics wrote about the faults of the film in the art of said work including the most important to me character development.  Reagan is still my political hero so I will eventually watch this film but with a streaming option that allows the art side of me not to lose face with the political side even fast forwarding is an option to not bust the Reagan bubble.

FOOTNOTE-  G-D willing the Harris balloon is falling to reality before a ballot box comes near you.

While searching for the official video for “This Is Life” from Winnetka Bowling League I came across this little geem that is truly just F-U-N.  Fun is a commodity we all need more of it in today’s times. Things are spinning way out of your control just it’s time to let go and be there.  I don’t mean in the turmoil that appears to envelope you but the walls of mindfulness which can take you away. Maybe it means slowing down your breathing where holding your breathe is part of the exercise or drinking that tea with an extra emphasis on the actual taste, the key is just to be there.  Many times we can’t control the world around so take a moment and control how it effects Y-O-U. Life can suck but being there can make it a whole lot livable.

FOOTNOTE– Now to put this blog piece in my own mirror. Easier to write then implement.

How was I forgotten after all this time.  We were so close and you left like I didn’t even matter to Y-O-U.  Every night and everyday I was there for you and then you just flew away literally. Don’t you think I want to go on vacation too?  Who was there to brush away all your problems well maybe other stuff?  In the end I’ll come back to you because that’s just who/what I am but please don’t forget me again.

FOOTNOTE- Who do you think I am and yes I was left behind many a trip. 

You don’t know his name but in twenty years or so you’ll be singing his song, and he was on my plane!!!  That’s right even at his age his voice had everyone glued to him along with his incredible performance and I was lucky to have front row seats for nearly nothing.  The truth is he doesn’t know his own talent and I was ready to sign him up before it’s too late. Oh well at least I was there for the moment a **star was performing**

FOOTNOTE- I don’t believe this was this two-year old’s first performance but it was his most engaging since we were on a plane.
