Philosophy

If you follow “Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs” it seems very basic but I believe some people never get past one point because that is their true motivator.  Those that are into possessions need to keep acquiring new items to the point that it can never truly end while those who want affection may never get enough to satisfy their desires.  I concur that we all begin striving for the basic items to survive but then our own personalities cause us to go in different directions.

In my life the motivation that inspire me depend on what I’m trying to accomplish. Initially it was to insure I can provide a decent lifestyle for me and my family but now it’s at the level of esteem and self actualization. If what I’m working for doesn’t fulfill those goals then I’m losing my drive to pursue the “end game”.  I might want the latest cell phone but I’m willing to trade in for the feeling of creating something new, getting an extra thank you or solving a problem that others have given up on.

If you’re “Mad As Hell” about the way you’re Governor is treating it’s time not “take it anymore”.  We don’t have to stay in a state where our top public servant says we don’t belong and proves it with high taxes, regulations and a betrayal of our values. Yet most of us can’t just pick up and move because of financial and/or family responsibilities .  PPC steps in to offer that escape to it’s “exclusive members”.  Our members will enjoy the benefits of being part of a community that shares their values and enhances their way of life.   More details coming soon….

Why when new ideas or suggestions brought up that there is always someone who says “No!” We can’t deny that some new ideas might not be so good or might not truly be new at all but usually there is more to that no. Here are a few reasons that No is usually heard with new.

(1) FEAR- People are used to a certain way of life and fear change. Some people could be eating rice and beans all their life and fear adding fish because they worry what will happen to their rice and beans.

(2) CONTROL- When a new idea is brought up they fear that they will lose control. This individual who brings up the new idea will receive all the credit and they will be forgotten about.

(3) CLOSED- Individual may not accept that there could be something new outside the box because that is the box.  They actually search for a moral cause or tradition that makes them have to stay in that box.

Once we understand the quandary some individuals are in we can either try to find a way for them to escape it or understand that we might not be able to change there opinion. Rest assured though once the idea is accepted that it will become old very soon with those same people and then they won’t want to change it again.

Today a Texas judge has  ordered a hospital to remove life support for a pregnant, brain-dead woman.  Here is an example where an unborn baby transplant should be tried.  The unborn baby would be removed from the brain dead woman and  transfered to another woman who would deliver the child.  This way the woman could move on and the child could be born. I’m sure there are many woman who would be willing to carry this child to term and allow a new life to begin. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Most of us would love to have lived a part of the “stars” lives. They appear to have everything wealth, fame and true success what else could they want?  Yet despite all they have it appears that they never have enough. Whether it be Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan or even Marilyn Monroe it appear that they are truly unhappy and need more.

It’s strange because you could look at your simple puppy who probably is never going to be famous, rich, or even go to any big parties but seems extremely happy and satisfied.  Maybe we all can learn from the brilliance of this simple creature that it’s not the amount of items or success in life that truly makes us truly happy but the amount of love we receive and give to others or maybe we should just start licking other people.  The truth is it’s great to achieve success but that success doesn’t have to be in the stars it can be helping a friend or even taking care of your dog that is enough … for the moment. Justin, Miley trust me it’s enough, continue to strive for excellence but enjoy the little moments more and you’ll be a lot happier then any of the drugs, fame, or fortune can bring.

Even if we spent our entire life with someone we still would only know pieces of who they truly are. It’s amazing how over time we even discover knew information about ourselves that we either repressed or ignored.  Yet many people believe they know Hash-m/G-D without any real work. Some of us will glance at the good book Torah/Bible to get insight while others will explore the world that the Lord’s created through nature walks or staring at the stores but is that enough?

The truth is just like it is impossible to know the full person it is impossible to know all the facets of Hash-m/G-D but that doesn’t give us an excuse not to continue the search. For everyday we can discover a wonderful fact that brings us closer and we know that G-D put us here because he loves us and wants us to continue the search

Imagine a chef complaining about the salad he made. He/she may not have grown the crops but had a hand in deciding what ingredients to put into the salad.  This is similar to the President being upset about economic inequality.  The President has been in office for over 5 years and although he doesn’t control the economy he puts in the ingredients that can make it strive or lager.

IT’S NOW FOR SOME FRESH LETTUCE/IDEAS

Right now the President is putting in wilted lettuce and rotted tomatoes and still believes the salad should taste good.  If you have policies that help the economic grow like lower taxes, lessening regulations and getting rid of Obamcare the economy will grow and therefore those employers will be seeking more employers. There will be a greater demand of employers then supply and in-turn the salaries these workers receive will be higher. Income inequality will be lessened but if the President continues on the policies he’s put forth he will continue to have a lousy salad. You can try to add new policies but unless you have the basic ingredients just right the salad and our economy will still be lousy. Let’s start with crispy lettuce and fresh tomatoes instead of stale ingredients that only split the good and bad salad further apart and eventually bring us all down.
