Philosophy

One of the poignant lessons we learn from the Frank Underwood of  the “House of Cards” is that talent will move in the direction of power.  No matter the values that one actually acts in there are many talented people who will want to be with “the winner”.  That is why it’s essential that we defeat ISIS completely for every gain draws more followers.  Every slaughter draws those who will side with power over truth and as we have seen throughout history (Roman’s, Nazi’s, Soviet Union etc) the more blood on the hands the harder it is to remove.  Therefore let us confront ISIS and evil now for a few battles today could be a prolonged war in the future.

Most of us would avoid eating poison no matter how good it initially tastes because of what harm it does to our body so why aren’t we as careful with what comes out of our mouth? If we don’t want another to react with venom then maybe we should be as careful of what comes out of our mouth then what we put in. A homeopathic doctor might give you a tiny bit of something that is detrimental to your health to allow your body to learn to understand and defend against this attacker maybe we should use the same tactic with the words that come out of our mouth.  Being tactful doesn’t mean that you lose the freedom to control what comes out of your mouth it just means that every word has the desired impact for understanding and change that you seek.   Poison hurts whether it’s swallowed or expelled for the person who takes it.

How do you feel when you witness something that has nothing to do with your skills, talents, vision or hard work?  If another person has “created” this object you might feel a bit envious or proud of their accomplishments but how do you feel when no person was involved? When looking at  the Grand Canyon, Sahara Dessert, or a babies eye’s where do you emotions, heart and soul take you? Do you quickly drive away fearful of the thoughts that parade in your head or do you leave your ego behind seeing the true beauty that is surrounds you.

   Black life’s matter to the main street media when the victims are killed by someone other then a thug.  The news media ignores the innocent murder’s that occur on the streets of Chicago, NY and Baltimore on a daily basis by gangs, drug overdoses, and just plain street thugs. It’s time for the civil rights community to have active protest  in front of the homes of gangs  and drug dealers  that perpetuate such senseless violence and death on the innocent among us and it’s time that we stop worrying more about who’s doing the killing and worry about those that are dying.

For an organization to survive you must have people that think inside and outside the box. You must have your feet squarely on the ground before you jump to the sky or you will fall right on your face. Individuals who can make sure the numbers add up are as important if not more important then those who throw numbers all over the place.  It’s important not to stuck in one way but it’s also important to have a clear plan of where your going and have been before.  Therefore let us soar like a bird from our boxes but be able to rest and contemplate in them when we’ve flown enough for the day.

NO MORE !

I’ve spent way too much times worry about people’s reactions to my mistakes instead of grabbing those mistakes and throwing them behind.  Of course you must learn from your errors and apologize for the wrong they’ve done but you must not  allow those errors to shape your future. Yesterday I had a brave moment which I hope will give me the courage to continue in this path. I messed up admitted too, looked to correct the problem and quickly moved on to my next course of business.  My previous course would have included paths leading to giving myself a guilt trip, lowering my self esteem, getting angry or just lowering my enthusiasm level to a point of mediocrity.  Today I pledge to continue to travel this the new path (with occasional wrong turns)  so don’t stand so close behind you might be hit with one of my previous mistakes.
