Move over Dunkin and Krispy Cream as my tribe takes the dough.  I’m not a big fan of various Jewish dishes although few beat a hot pastrami sandwich well maybe a donut from the Kosher bakery. Where other donuts leave you feeling bad after a few bites donuts the ones from my tribe keep you grabbing for more. I was raised on just the Jelly type so I didn’t know better until I crossed the desert to an awesome dessert and maybe a not so healthy breakfast.  To be honest Dulce De Leche is the one that lead me to this taste bud conversion.  Donuts for Hanukah are so good that maybe my waistline needs to consume them just once a year. Yet just like a good bagel I see and taste a world willing to take this bite and going for more all year long.

Dumb Money is just a “smart film” that might just be smart for my life too. Nothing incredible bold is told in this film except the story of how one person can truly make dumb money by belief and F-U-N.  The film has a predictable act structure and storyline yet is compelling to watch to the last money credits maybe it’s because of the great soundtrack or interesting character development.  Yes, it still tried to push a lefty agenda yet we now know who’s in charge of the big companies today but I digress. Dumb Money is just fun to watch and might help you discover new ways to put green in your wallet.

I’ve been transformed to a whole different universe as I drive down the same streets do to some **awesome** audio drama podcasts that I had to start listing at least a few. They have truly made not only bearable but awesome incredible. For, I get to finish an episode before or after a difficult day at work or in my personal life. These drama’s take my mind away because I have to visualize what is occurring with only sounds. So, here goes the beginning of this list in order of ones that have taken my mind to a more exciting place.

I spent my life savings on this pool so you can enjoy it?  I don’t remember sending out an invitation yet here you are enjoying M-Y beautiful pool. Flapping your wings around like you just don’t care. At least you can clean up your mess afterwards not add to it!!! Well at least someone appreciates all my hard work even as they didn’t contribute a penny to it!!  Come to think of it you really do look happy and isn’t that what life is about? Helping others find happiness even if it’s some damn birds !

Why don’t we truly let G-D decide. Yes, we should stand by our religious convictions and live accordingly but within our own walls not walls forced on others. Faith should come from the heart and soul not forced by the tip of a sword. We should not fear preaching our gospels with powerful words yet those must only be words.  Let others find their own path even if it’s off a broken beaten path ahead. We can try to save the world but in the end let G-D decide and judge.

It was only a game but one which now I can’t remember the start. We started as a small group following the names of a streets and determining which way to go based on their first letter, for example S equals south, N equals north and you know the last two. It was only supposed to be a weekend but as we got further in the game some never made it any further until I was the last one traveling.  I suddenly realized that all my passengers were the loved ones lost and now my journey was one of eternity heaven or hell.

FOOTNOTE- This blog post is based on a concept that came to me from listening to a few episodes of the “Left/Right Game” on Spotify. I’m not sure how that podcast on Spotify ends but this one would feel appropriate.

I am “officially” a writer today!  For although I’ve written around a dozen screenplays which two became films, had a column in a newspaper, write on this blog etc etc today was the first time I was paid for this skill. Not enough to change career paths but to at least put myself in the “writers” catalog after all. This was one of the last words my beloved father spoke to me and now they are part of who I am today.

Was it really my choice or was it the words of legacy that made me who I am today. How much free will is there on my side or is just that I’m born with this DNA?   G-D only knows yet I wonder if those that came before changed the path that I was going by their input or was their message something predetermined by the one who continues to write the book.  In the end can we change the path of our future generation or are those words already programmed in?
