“Leave The World Behind” is in many ways a reflection of President Obama. For this film has all the expectations of being something great but ends as a big dud. Yes, it’s beautifully crafted with incredible sets but they are both basically empty at the end. The characters are more developed then the actually resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue but to what point!  We expected so much more with this film yet at the end wondered what was truly the point of putting such trust in it.  “Leave The World Behind” could truly have brought us together but in the end left the public feeling left behind.

** 1/2- Beautifully crafted and had it’s moments but never got to where we thought it should be.  Yes, I’m giving it a star better rating than the one in 1600 Pennsylvania’s mirror because some of the movies moments were actually brilliant.

As I lay in bed an image crawled on my ceiling. This was an image that many would say was just my imagination pulling at me so I had to send this proof that it was more than some random neurons. It haunted my being not by some awful sound but by the silence that crept up on me. Why there why now? Was it a long-lost loved one trying to say something to me or could it be something that was a dark reflection of me? I give up it’s time for you to take a peak.

We thought we were prepared until it hit! All of a sudden the structures that would keep us safe appeared to turn to rubble. We scattered scavenging for any attempt of food and lost each other with an avalanche of winds that nearly blew us apart. The pounding storm brought us to our knees and left us wondering was this truly the end. Then it all ended as if nothing occurred before. One of the elderly came out from some type of rock and warned me this is only the beginning as the season of pain has only just begun.

I love X-Mas even though it might not normally fit in with the tribe I’m from. For, who shouldn’t celebrate the miracle of a child’s birth?  It also is a time of year where many around the world are just a bit more “happier” and caring then they might be on another day. Yes, there might be differences with my tribe on how this story goes but at least during X-Mas let’s celebrate the peace, happiness and love this holiday brings to so many.  May G-D blesss us all with the joy, peace and happiness of this holiday  through the rest of the year no matter what tribe we might belong too. I think that’s something we all can pray for.

It was not like I meant it, it was just an accident. As you passed by I just slipped the opposite way. Not looking in your direction as I zoned out in mine. Accidents happen so please don’t think I was rude just careless with where I was and where you were as well.

How large is your island?  An Island where you are truly yourself without being overly influenced by others and/or the more populated islands nearby?  The truth is what one wears, does or even eat can be influenced by other island hoppers. For example are you truly going out with the Joneses because you want to or want to be included in their cliche? In the end  do you have the strength and courage to live alone on your island as you wear, eat and think what you like or will their vision cloud your view?

FOOTNOTE- Though one might claim to be an island dweller the truth is the world has an influence on us. Let it not though change though the individual that rest inside.

Out of the blue the door suddenly opens. It might be one of opportunity or a light that appeared out of the dark.  Joseph appeared to be one stuck in a life of misery until an incredible change suddenly took him from slavery and imprisonment to grand leadership.  G-D had a plan for him as the true writer has a written a whole new chapter for Y-O-U. Those that seem cruel can suddenly be kind, doors of opportunity can appear out of no where as life can change in an instant.  I believe G-D has that door ready to open for you all you have to do is believe in the word and push. Time may not appear on your side but suddenly it just does.

As we took our last breathe we saw the ones who would inherit what was left. It was fitting for these were the creatures that survived through it all without the aid of shelter. They lasted though intense heat, cold, storm and drought yet somehow managed to survive. There were many creatures that hid underground or in their own form of bunkers but they bared it all as if a witness to the horror we created.  While we fought to the end they stayed together deep in a woods that thinned by the moment. Eating whatever they could forage but without taking a life.  They came out when all appeared to be lost.  They are truly dear to us anyone you spell it.
