Blade Runner 2049- RUN FROM

blade runner 2049

The critics will say I don’t understand the depth of this movie and I say I might not empathize with certain pain but understand when someone puts a needle in my eye.  Blade Runner is a movie every film going should run away from if they are looking for a film that is actually dare I say it “entertaining”.  Of course if you just see the first five minutes and credits you might disagree but after that moment the characters and story become so tedious.  With little character development and sadistic scenes such as watching a person slowly drown to death there is nothing worth watching on this screen except if the exit sign is nearby.   The futuristic imagery is always interesting but nothing outstanding that I haven’t scene in a dozen Dystopian film before. Blade Runner 2049 one movie that is not worthy of your time and energy unless you truly need to take a nap.

* Star- Probably one of the most boring movies I’ve seen in years.

Small Venues

Playing at Local Bar 1 playing at local bar 2

Music will not die just get smaller after the incident in Las Vegas. Where many more musicians will play at smaller venues instead of MSG type locations. People will pay more to see such artists knowing that these locations are safe before and after the show. For smaller venues are easier to secure and are less likely to be used for terrorist or those looking to commit evil for their name.  Musicians might jump around a few of these venues in a local city rather then run across the country.   In the end this probably will cost the viewer additional $$’s but will be a closer and safer experience.

Roger Stone & Me = Torn

Roger Stone

I’m scheduled to see Roger Stone with only a few other people present and am torn about this decision. On the positive side he’s a political genius who really understands the insights of the game few will ever see.  Yet he participated in a documentary that actually made him look really dark in most parts and even the causes he stood for.  The truth is in life most of the friends and associates we have aren’t saints and who I am to cast a stone being far from perfect myself. At the same time he puts his faults up front and personal for the world to see without allowing the great side to come through as well. Why would he do this?  I think that is the question that compels me to go and if those great traits and maybe some not as great would help build up the key ideas of this blog. For if Roger Stone could help promote such powerful ideas I believe the world would understand the good side of  “Get Me Roger Stone”.

Ed Sheeran- Diverse Song

Ed Sheeran has produced a song with diverse vocals that all come from him. The song also has a musical tone that takes you to different countries as well.  Whether you’re a big fan of Ed Sheeran or not you have to appreciate the talent he holds especially as witnessed in this song.

The Layover – A TOTAL FLOP

Posted by Bruce - in arts and entertainment, Blog - No Comments

the layover

0 critics gave the Layover a good review through Rotten Tomatoes that’s right not even 1 small critic in Kate Upton or Matt Barr’s hometown could find any redeeming quality to this movie.  The millions upon millions of dollars spent to produce this fiasco and not one person in the production cast or crew could spend a moment of their time to see or hear that this film is going know where.  There is a deep dark path in me that wants to be the 1 critic to see and actually enjoy it maybe it’s the rebellion side or maybe I always root for the underdogs.  Layover maybe it’s worth driving after all.

Exclusive Network

Private 1 Exclusive

Exclusive Network”  will be the one network that will not look to produce shows for the masses but for those privileged to have it.   Top Producers, Directors, Writers will come together to produce shows/movies that are superior to the mass people programming available through other sources because this will not be about numbers but quality.  “Exclusive Network” will require a bit more expenditures and even an acceptance  for those who want to join but the quality viewing will be worth it the time and monies.

Great LABOR DAY- Song

Posted by Bruce - in arts and entertainment, Blog, music - No Comments

I thought it was just a fun song but then the video came through and I think I found the perfect “Labor Day” song.   Yes it might not inspire anyone to work but it’s Labor Day you’re supposed to have the day off anyway.

Movie Premiere Glass of Champagne

While moviepass goes in one direction the “Premier Movie Club” would go in the opposite direction. Making your movie experience top of the line for just the few who enjoy a bit more status in their entertainment experience. Those who were “accepted” to join this club would receive the following benefits (below).  Just like all clubs some don’t fit one’s lifestyle but this might work for those truly special nights.

(1) 2- Tickets to a red carpet movie premiere

(2) Private movie screening with 36 of your friends with upscale seating.

(3) A glass of bubbly and light entree’s before the film.

(4) Highest quality popcorn and beverages for actual showing.

(5) Discussion with film maker and/or talent in the industry concerning the film that was shown with light delicious deserts and coffee.

FOOTNOTE – There would be annual dues for such membership along with monthly introductory offers.

Cage the Elepants- Lollapalooza- ROARED

lollapaloza

“Cage the Elephants” roared at Lollapalooza as it  restored my faith that I still love Rock & Roll concerts.  There music is intoxicating and their performance is a combination of “Mick Jagger” in 1/2 drag.  They stomped over any of the other bands that performed with pure unadulterated fun that included a side of insanity on the side. Jumping  into the audience took a whole different leap with this band who crushed all the competition. Thank G-D they were let out of their cages to perform at Lollapalooza and show the world that rock & roll still is ready to stampede music back into our lives.
