While Stormy Daniels get’s the spotlight on 60 minutes lambasting the President I wonder how many of us would have the power to resist this attraction if she popped into our life? Even the most loyal husband might be tempted to look the other way for a moment. Infidelity is still wrong but let’s face it is more understandable when their is a different picture in front of you. You might be able to resist but let’s face it this is no 21 year intern from BC generation.

Today I’ve declared it to be a no news day at least in my viewing. For the politics at the moment have made me feel a bit blue with “anti-gun rallies” training our young to become progressives for the next generation to the Republican’s passing a Democratic budget plan that made the Elephant tears run down my face. It is time to shut off the news and focus on something else such as cleaning my house and an extra walk for the dogs. This way my blood pressure and tears will stay within at least for the day.
It’s there after everyone else has left because it truly has no where else it can go and maybe that’s why it has a special place in your heart, whether you admit it or not. It’s that inanimate object that has no life on it’s own until you put it in your’s. For that reason your favorite pillow is the one that never leaves your bedside or your favorite chair never leaves your butt (at least when you’re home). Whether it be a car that hardly starts or glass that you continue to drink from even though it has a crack we seemed to have found a special place for certain objects that can’t be found with a replacement. For certain inanimate objects keeps us together when sometimes we fill like falling apart. They stay with us when others leave whether of their own free will or are brought back to their maker. Inanimate objects are there for us along as we want them to be through good, bad, ugly and crazy times and that’s why they are so special to us.

Let’s face it sometimes we all need that message to get us moving forward or just moving at all. Music can give us that 2-3 minute pep talk that no coach can match. There is bit more extra’s of life during Shabbos then you have during the rest of the week. For on this day you have a bit more (lot more) time to enjoy and appreciate then you have for the rest of the 24 hour days. Here are some added benefits that are an addition to anyone’s life (below) and those around you.
(1) AFFECTION- This is the day hello’s can be longer then goodbye’s. Where a handshake can turn into a hug.
(2) READ- You have much more time to read and discover new worlds right inside your own house.
(3) BREATHE- You can actually take the time to breathe in and smell the snow. It’s been a long winter.
(4) SLEEP- Yes even the most observant can catch up on a bit more rest time.
(5) TASTE- Food can actually be chewed before it’s swallowed and the taste can linger (hopefully a good one) with you way past the time you swallowed it.
(6) THINK- What really is important? Why are you here? What does G-D expect of me? What did they actually put in that Chicken Soup?
(7) LISTEN- Absorb all the noises around you even the one’s your loved one’s make.
Technology would be the death throw of the Opium Epidemic. As a doctor would input the amount of Opoid’s/Narcotics that their patient could have daily within a regimented time schedule into a dispenser. This dispenser would only release those tablets to the individual who had a certain “fingerprint” or other identifying trait. This dispenser would make the medicine unusable if it was tampered with in anyway other then the way it was designed. No prescription would be given without such a dispenser. Of course technology would have to continue to have to improve to be up with the criminal element.
FOOTNOTE- There would be a direct tax on these dispensers which would go to fund drug rehabilitation centers that specialize in Opium addiction across the county
After President Trump was caught in a no win move it’s time for him to play his hand. A hand that should put the Repucrats & Democrats in a pickle jar. Here’s the play (below) that should get their Queen before the 2018 election.
(1) PAWN- Have a direct address to the American people in which you explain your disgust with the budgetary process and especially how it has left DACA recipients without an avenue to become legal citizens, didn’t give the resources to protect the American border and funded Planned Parenthood over the objections of the American People.
(2) BISHOP- Explain how tonight you ask Congress to pass legislation give legal status to DACA recipients in return for providing proper funding for security at or border without raising the debt any further by utilizing the monies geared to Planned Parenthood.
(3) QUEEN- Tell the American people that he is giving Congress a fixed date for such legislation and if that action can’t get through a Democratic filibuster then he asks that the rules be changed to allow a simple majority vote of only 51 votes.
(4) KING- Campaign on this legislation even if it doesn’t get through as if it was the Presidential election all over again with supporting only those who stand behind this measure.
The Torah speaks about the tribe being holy by separating themselves from those who would act in a different path. I believe that separation shouldn’t be to exclude yourself from those in your daily lives but in ways that build a sanctuary around your being. Here is the way I try to stay holy while still be engaged in the society around me.
(1) PRAYER- My prayers allow me and others who share the faith to come closer to G-D while others appear unwilling to pursue these moments.
(2) TURN ON /TURN OFF- If something I listen to improves my search for the truth even if it goes in a cumbersome way I will continue to watch while turning off those that start closing the door.
(3) TRADITION- The rituals I follow help to allow my path to continue down those who have preceded me with respect to my ancestors but with my own accents.
(4) PATH- It has it’s own unique curves that some will join me on but other times I proudly walk alone.
President Trump please veto this Omnibus or U.S bust bill. Not only does it rip apart any budget goals but it also continues funding of Planned Parenthood (Deathhood) who rips apart unborn babies with tax payer $$’s. This bill also insidiously puts restrictions on the border wall our country needs. I understand we don’t have the 60 votes in the Senate to get exactly what we want but we can do better. Please carefully consider these provisions (below) that you should demand be enacted or bring out your veto pen.
(1) Demand real choice and if they fund Planned Deathhood let them fund equal amounts of expenditures to Crisis Pregnancy Centers which help those who have chosen life such as Cradle of Hope
(2) Get rid of all provisions that restrict the President from defending our border by whatever constitutional means possible.
(3) Fund Governmental Responsibility board to determine whether the governmental agencies are spending their monies to solve problems or continue to fund the deep state instead.
