While it’s very convenient to condemn Harvey Weinstein I wonder how we would fit in his shoes? Don’t get me wrong most probably wouldn’t be as black as his path went but would we be the shiny bright shoe instead or have our own scuff marks instead?  For the ability to lift up others or crush them is something most will never see and in a world where everyone runs to you for attention.  Power, $$ and fame Harvey Weinstein had it all and used it to crush the industry that he belonged to but before we fully condemn maybe we should get out of our slippers instead. For although he walked what appears to be an evil path we have never seen the Apples in the tree and the snake tempting us to take a bite.

I’ve done it, well mostly but I got to the ending and that’s all that counts …right? It was a 784 page book which I read with some small skips or omissions but did I say  784 pages? If you combine everything I’ve ever written I wonder if it’s 784 pages.  So yes I’ve read more of this person’s life then I’ve written about my own so I read it case made.  It is not as if I would have gained some new insight from that missing page or two because the author tends to be a bit repetitive anyway or at least that is a good excuse. For in the end it’s one’s  leisurely reading and when it turns to complete work it’s time to open a new book.

WARNING INNATE BIAS DETECTED

Who should you root for in the decisive game 7 between the Houston Astro’s and the NY Yankees is a decision I’ve made well before it began but I want to show that I can project a logical argument for both cases without my complete bias seeping through. If MSNBC and CNN can say they present the news with some fairness then I should be able to state a fair case for both sides.  Here are the points you should consider (below).

(1) HOME TEAM- If a team wins when they are playing home it’s much more exciting and loud then when the opponent wins + Houston Astro’s

(2) TOUGH YEAR– The city or community that is recovering from a disasters event such as a Hurricane could see some of that pain wiped away with such a win + Houston Astro’s

(3) BETTER COLORS- Is it more fun to root for a team with bright lively colors then one that has colors that appear to been needed a wash + Houston Astro’s

(4) JOSE ALTUVE = Let’s just say a shorter version of Pete Rose + Lenny Dykstra (when they played the game) as returned to the ballpark + Houston Astro’s 

(5) LONGER WAIT- It’s just nice to support a team that hasn’t been in a world series for a longer period of time and hasn’t won 27 of them in the past + Houston Astro’s

Starbucks is real unlike many of it’s competitors. Where other delicious flavors from their competition including Vanilla, Carmel & Hazenut might taste great seeing that they are artificial flavors leaves you with a bitter taste.   Starbucks instead contains natural flavors with their variety of coffee flavors which taste good as you drink them and afterwards. That’s why it might costs a few cents more for Starbuck’s Keurig flavors but taste and health make it good to the last drop.

I don’t know which color you choose but the story remains the same one messed up act by the two actors damns us for eternity.  What they did before or after that meeting with the Apple doesn’t appear to count but I hope our resume at Heaven’s Gate allows us additional lines.  For if we are to be judged  by “one act” or “line” I fear that we all will want to walk around naked for it’s burning hot down there.  Unless of course we could choice and mine would be “I Tried”. What would your line be and would it truly get the gates to open ? If not maybe there’s time to add a different act and who knows maybe this will be a whole lot cooler.

One school young people have to actually win a lottery to enter while the other is left for “the rest of them” and these schools are literally feet away from each other. Harlem RBI is a beautiful new school in the heart of Harlem while the other looks more like a prison which would you choose?  Yet because NYC doesn’t have a voucher system only those that pick the right numbers get the chance to move up to better education.  Does that seem just or does the teachers union have to much power in the city? It is a tale of two schools that are truly only feet apart yet are continents apart in terms of opportunities for our young people.

A cat will let their prey believe they will escape until the slowly understand that there is no way to escape their claws. The Yankees have a similar trait leading teams to believe victory is just around the corner only to snatch it back from them slowly but surely. This year Cleveland was their victim and now Houston can feel the claws closing in.  It is another reason I hate this team for it isn’t enough that you beat your opponent but you must crush their spirit as well. I’m also am a dog fan which leaves live room for cats in any stripe.

I’m not sure “what’s in your wallet” but mine has history.  History that should be kept in a binder not dragged along everyday. Yes if suddenly G-D forbid something happened to me they would easily be able to identify who I am but do they really need to know every cause that I belong to? Would they be able to identify me more easily by a credit card that has dust growing on it? It’s time I clean it up and insure what’s in my wallet is something that really needs instead of in a history book on me.
