The Supreme Court 9-0 ruling allowing the President to enforce a temporary travel ban on 7 nations that the previous administration noted had poor security for visa’s is a victory for all American’s as well as the Administration. The temporary nature of the ban will enable the administration to lift the ban once they believe that these individuals from such nations can be fully vetted before entering our shores. The court also allowed leeway to those who are currently working in the nation and those that have loved ones already living in our country.   Hopefully the Administration will be able to vet said individuals as well to make sure that some who might have evil motives are kept out before any harm can occur.  The protection of all our citizens is the prime responsibility of any President and the Supreme Court has given this administration an added tool in their arsenal for our protection.

I want to offer a formal apology to those that might have seen me yesterday. For I exposed a part of my body that I could confidently say is UGLY.  It is a part of my body I’ve usually kept hidden from the outside world because people should be able to eat.  Yet I felt it was a bit warmer and since we are out of this body shaming business then a little reveal couldn’t hurt.  I never knew a picture of my knees would end up in Six Flags Great Adventure, NY and as a result everyone would say jump (it could have been a malfunctioning ride as well). Next time I’ll try to give the world a bit more notice for nobody needs to get hurt from these needs … I mean knees.

Even though I don’t fully accept the theory “there are no bad questions” I didn’t expect this question to be worthy of losing a Facebook friend on? “What are the similarities between President Obama and President Trump? Understanding the similarities between two polar opposites on the political divide would instead should be an interesting exercise that would enable one to explore their own Cerebellum or other parts of their mind. Yes questions can be so pointed that they lead to an answer that makes you look bad no matter how it might be answered (ex why did you rape…) yet this question didn’t go down that pocket hole. Although my ex-friend’s paranoia might have led them in such a direction. Here are a few good responses (belong) I received from such an inquiry along with my own thoughts. Feel free to add your own answers … if you dare!

(1) GOLF- They both appear to enjoy playing this game.

(2) CONFIDENCE- Both individuals appear to have a great deal of self confidence to push them through to the next level.

(3) OUTRAGE- It appears as if both Presidents express deep outrage when their is opposition to their point of view.

(4) FUNNY- They both know how to break the ice and make you laugh.

In a world where we often hear too many stories about man/woman inhumanity to another the story of the rescue from Six Flags Great Escape in Lake George, NY gives us all a bit more hope. Innocent bystanders became up-standers as they came to the rescue of a poor young lady (above) who was dangling from a ride. When they told her to jump they actually were willing to risk limb and dare I say live to save her. This story ends on a good note as well as both the rescuer and the victim came out of the situation with only minor injuries and society came out with it’s good story of the day.

SIX FLAGS RESCUE

I want this blog to be an anti safe zone where even voices I found to be repulsive can express their point of view. Of course with this freedom comes responsibility and no views that express direct violence against an individual or group of individuals that have their own expression will be tolerated. It also means that I will challenge those voices I disagree with logic but sometimes even with emotion and if they become silent after such confrontation of words then so be it.  For voices that are silenced can lead to action that is damaging to the basic freedoms we all should fight for. Let this blog open a page to such differing voices in peace, discussion and tolerance.

There are times in one’s life where a drink goes down real smooth and others where it just sticks in your throat or wallet. Knowing when to drink and where is the key to the enjoyment of the moment. Here are my rules to drinking.

(1) TRANSPORTATION- You and your loved one’s must have a safe way to get to the drinks and bed without any flashing lights (except the dance floor).

(2) EXPENSE- If it’s already in the bill  (weddings, events, someone has the credit card) and your not going to be a hog then it’s fine to enjoy the moment with them and be able to see your bank account at the end.

(3) BEGINNING OR END- It’s great to celebrate at the beginning or end of a getaway as long as their is time for recovery in between.

(4) CHEMISTRY- If you haven’t eaten much during the day and the first drink hits the spot well then the 2nd one should do the job in no time.

(5) POOPED OUT- Those around you have been to the party before and they’ve seen you play the party pooper well it’s time to show that your more of a versatile performer.

(6) LONG TIME- You’re going to be at this one location for a time longer then fun you might as well add a mix to make the time going faster and funnier.

(7) DRINK SPECIAL- Yes, sometimes even the taste can bring you in but remember if it’s too sweet in the beginning it might become too sour in the end.

Trump’s distance from the particulars in the efforts to replace Obamacare is politically brilliant. Let those matters be fought in the streets while he can stand in the castle complaining how bad Obamacare and how it desperately needs to be replaced. President Trump and his team know how when someone gets stuck in a political weed quicksand is one step away and the deeper you dig the harder it is to get out.  Therefore continue to speak from the castle for arrows might be shot your way but the walls that stand between you will make sure they miss every time.

As I was contemplating worldly matters (ex Why We Exist, How Can We  Truly Make A Difference) I still couldn’t figure out a basic question how to get the hot water out of my shower head? My mind was racing in various directions but basically couldn’t get the key  to start it revving up.  A genius stopped by and revealed to me that with this shower head  you only turned it a drop for hot water and all the way for cold. Something that my complex mind ,that loves  to solve world problems couldn’t fathom on it’s own. I can solve the world’s problems but often quick solutions vanish from this mind.The truth is  we all have keys to make other’s life’s better that they couldn’t find on their own. Everyone has a special talent to get us through our next door in life and although it might be a bit more hidden in some without their key we might be stuck in the cold forever. What appears simple and basic to one mind might be quite complex in another. Therefore G-D’s invention of 2 ears and 1 mouth might be the one that we truly should  follow for we never know when, where or who words of wisdom will come from to make our way a bit warmer and fresher than before.

FOOTNOTE-  Please remember if you’re feeling a cold and blue you’re voice and ideas might warm someone up with a rainbow of warmth at anytime and anyplace.

When your family calls upon you to do something that twists your faith how can or should you respond? This is not as black and white picture as one would normally see especially as family members move up in years.  You want to make sure you try and make the memories stay positive without diminishing your faith all together. If it’s something you do on an occasion maybe there is room for some flexibility. I guess the answer is to find different ways to express that faith that might not only be out of your usually box but on the beach. For example maybe a private quick trip in nature and a few prayers along the way can revive your spirit and still keep the family together.

Many believe the scream from Psycho was do to the knife coming out her but did anyone check the water temperature of the shower? For taking a cold shower can make anyone scream especially when you pay for the hotel experience. I’m not one to complain well maybe if the bed isn’t made, no towels, lights don’t work, T.V is out … okay I complain a bit but the cold shower takes it to a whole different level.  It feels as if cold daggers  are penetrating my entire body in a slow painful way. Maybe I’m being a bit dramatic but if someone used  the entire hot water maybe I’d seek my own revenge as well.
