I’m not French but I can understand the appeal and disdain of Marine Le Pen from “The National Front” especially after watching a 60 minutes interview. It appears she is a strong leader who believes that the national interest must come 1st before the world interests. This includes making sure the deals her country signs with others benefit the French people before they benefit the world community. She believes that the French culture must be adopted by all and that is where the disdain comes from? Who is to determine what such culture is and how would you punish those who walk toward a different beat? Is the public square really for the entire public or those who fit what the government considers the public should be? These are the questions I would balance if I was a French citizen and hopefully come to the right decision for the good of all the people who live in this beautiful country.
