Of all the broadcasts I could have been listening to I choose to listen to an evil man. I could have chosen to listen to an upbeat message from Joel Osteen, or any type of musical genre but I was pulled into this real life story told by the actual person who should have still been in jail. It wasn’t that this individual committed a heinous crime yet I wonder if their stories would have drawn me in as well. It’s wrong because there are so many good people trying to have their stories told while we can be drawn to the dark story instead. Maybe we are waiting for their redemption or just want to understand how they think the way they do? It could be that their stories have more hills and curves then ours and a certain amount of freedom which we would never dare take. Or it could be simply said listening to those with less the stellar records is a way to say to ourselves maybe we’re not so bad afterwards. All I know is their stories still fascinate me enough to continue to listen, learn and G-D willing walk the other way.
