Hidden Figures is the competitor that La, La Land should be most concerned with as the race for best picture in the Oscars is about to enter the final stretch. This movie has all the elements to get the top prize great acting, incredible story, powerful soundtrack and that hidden factor … guilt. After African American’s were shut out of the top categories last year I wonder if this factor will help it push it past La, La Land this year. If so I wouldn’t be too disappointed for the quality and entertaining value is quite up there with the greats yet La, La, Land has the artistic vision that put it ahead in my book. A book that could be written quite differently on 2/26/17.
