Smart or Creative

Albert Einstein

A banker is speaking to me as if he’s Albert Einstein using phrases that only an MBA graduate could understand yet this isn’t actually occurring in a bank but my head.  For this was all a dream and I was lost the moment this imaginary person opened his mouth. Does a different part of my brain understand these words or are they made up in some creative dialect? Is it possible that one part of my brain is actually smarter or more verbal then another and it only comes out when I’m sleeping or is my mind more creative then I think? I may never know but maybe sleep is a better education then one would believe if only we could remember the words.

EXPERT ME & YOU

expert 1 Expert 2

You and me are experts, whom can be called for advise on the” subject matter” if it came up and we remembered. We have become an expert because we spend more time and effort with one topic then most other people. There might be thousands of other experts in this category but at that moment you know more then most others in the vicinity and are “in the building”. You might even be a more through expert then others that have studied this matter more thoroughly and for a longer period of time  because it’s fresh in your head.  Here are the top 10 I feel at this moment that I can consider myself an expert on. WITHIN THESE PARAMETERS WHAT ARE YOU AN EXPERT IN?

(1) ALEXANDER HAMILTON- I have just finished a 800 page book on this individual and the information is fresh in my head and on my phone.

(2) BLOG WRITING- There is hardly a day that passes without me writing a piece in this blog.

(3) CHOCOLATE-  Almost everyday my palate explores the taste of chocolate and often try a variety of unique known brands. I also have researched information on this topic.

(4) FAMILY BUSINESS- After spending a minimum of 45 hours a week for over 22 years in this field I better have some experience there.

(5) FAITH- I have spent a considerable amount of time exploring various faith routes and have come to one that works best for me and I hope others as well.

(6) FIRST TIME FILM-MAKING MAYBE… I have a produced a film from the concept, to production and final distribution deal. This knowledge continues as I explore other avenues in this business.

(7) HORROR MOVIES- From the age of 7 until this date I have watched horror movies from slasher to vampire and have picked up knowledge on what makes people scream!

(8) JOSEPH-  This is the one biblical story that I have tried to explore from different angles and continue to investigate various prospective.

(9) MENTAL HEALTH IMPLOSIONS- My studies with NAMI as well as first hand experience(s) have given me insight into those that are suffering with an implosion and how best to calm the situation down. This is of course easier from those that are outside the situation then those that are in it.

(10) POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY- I have a passion to find out why people believe that a certain political philosophy/person is best for them, their community and even the world. This passion has led me to explore many different philosophies and have some ferocious debates with individuals who see things a bit differently. I find at times I can argue their point better then they can argue it themselves.

Hysterical?

Laughing 4 Lauging 5

If at the moment I  had just the right confidence you would hooting with laughter.  Yet I felt you would be probably be embarrassed with this joke line even though deep down inside you would be laughing (maybe deeper then that well).  Maybe the joke need a bit more development anyway or maybe it would be better if someone would have delivered the punch line. We will never know because this joke was for the moment and this hysterical moment just passed us by like a tree with coffee.

Talking without words

A look

It’s amazing how so much can be said without opening your mouth. Sometimes a loved one can read more in what you’re feeling by just a deeper look even if the words come out just “right”. Yesterday was such a day when me and my daughter communicated with what we saw instead of what we heard.  It was a special moment because we both felt sad about her departure to college and what lay ahead but neither wanted to actually say that for we didn’t want the other to worry. Eventually words were texted that spelled our feelings out better then if we had expressed it at the moment and the path seemed much clearer.  The truth is sometimes more is truly said in silence then in a spoken word.

Brittany Spears OOPS

Brittany Spears

Brittany, Brittany, Brittany Oops you did it.  We had so many fun times together and the memories could have kept me going until you decided to come out with your new single “Make Me” and it actually causes me to do it. Turn off the song before it was 1/2 way through! Of course I could have muted it because you still look amazing but some how I thought that was wrong.  I figured maybe I was to quick to judge so I listened to you and James Cordan sing in a car and had to call Uber to the rescue. You appeared so artificial that a driver from Uber brought me back to reality.  Brittany I know you’re not Toxic and because of our past history will give you one more time probably two, three etc.  Maybe I’m just a Slave 4 U but slavery will end if you keep this up.

Shut out Voices

Schizophrenia Voices Closed in head

WHAT IF?

They closed the voices in my head that disturbed me day and night but there was one that should have been able to speak. This voice lead me down a path that seemed right for me when the other voices tried to trip me up. One voice that helped me perceive what was occurring in front of me and what might occur behind as well. I was warned about something occurring before my treatment in that exact spot but  then all of a sudden all I heard was silence. The treatment shut out all the voices even the one that might have heard the bridge collapse before it occurred.

Abortion/Slavery Argument

Abortion Slavery

There are eerie parallels between the argument for slavery and the argument for abortion. These arguments are basically over degrees not fundamental rights. Here’s how I see it (below) constructive comments are welcome.

  1. PROPERTY- Although you might disagree with slavery/abortion shouldn’t a person be able to do what they want with their property/body?
  2. NOT HUMAN- As sick as it may seem there was a time in our country where the courts determined that African American’s weren’t “human” and today they consider an unborn person in that same category.
  3. NEED- People believed that society couldn’t function without slavery in the south  and today there are people who believe without the right to aborting unborn children that our society will collapse as well.
  4. PLATFORM- The right to “own slaves” was a standard part of the Democratic Platform as the right to abortion is today.
  5. BUSINESS-Slavery and Abortion are big businesses with smaller businesses profiting from the equipment needed to the training to actual performing the “work”.
  6. DISTANCE- A slave owner was generally unconscious to the vile acts performed on his behalf by the slave hand who abused these individuals while a woman in unconscious as a doctor pulls out her unborn baby piece by piece.

College Departure

Parents dropping children off to college

No matter whether it’s their Freshman  or Senior year  sending your children back off to college leaves a bit of sadness in a parents heart. Even though they grow more independent year by year there is something about them living in your house that makes them still seem like the child they were only a few years ago. Maybe it’s as simple as doing their wash or having them eat dinner with you (once a week or so)  that makes you feel that bond continue.  When you leave them in college there is a sinking feeling of despair that will hold you until you ease back to your  “normal/leisure work cycle” and the call/text from your child is heard or written even if it’s to add a few more $’s to their meal plan.
