Donald Trump Picks Liz Cheney for V.P.

Donald Trump Rally  Liz Cheney

Donald Trump has picked Liz Cheney for V.P. at least that’s according to my dream last night with a bit of tweaking.  I think the dream might actually have picked Lynne Cheney but I might have heard it wrong and this makes a bit more sense. First of all Dick Cheney is one of the few real establishment types that have quickly endorsed Donald after his win maybe there was more to that endorsement. Lynne Cheney is young respected conservative woman that is friends with those in the establishment without being part of it. Mrs. Cheney also is a polished speaker who has been around the media for a quite a long time.  I’m not telling you to bet money on this dream  “ticket” but it would be fun to have one dream come true and this just could be the one.

Donald Trump- Keep & Grow his base

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Philosophy, Political - No Comments

Donald Trump Huge

Can Donald Trump grow his base, by reaching out to those who might have been offended by his previous remarks, without losing the base by becoming “too political”?  It’s a delicate weave to sew for one stitch one way can loosen another stitch the other way.  We know he will focus his direct attacks now on Hillary Clinton but her base will only fall by so much therefore Donald should call for a summit of all his previous rivals so they can help build the party behind him. It should be some type of luncheon at one of his Trump facilities in a relaxed atmosphere. At the end of such a summit I’m sure some of his opponents may still not agree to support him but the effort to build bridges will allow others who would normally not back him to reconsider.  In the end having most of his rivals supporting him while not some of the “establishment candidates” may allow him to keep his base (cake) and still grow his support (eat it).

Thank You

Thank you

I’m going to try to say these 2 words a bit more “Thank You”.  Even if I’m alone in the crowd maybe I can start a wave in which one person becomes more thankful to another. I’ve always wanted to hear it first or at least hear it next but being grateful has it’s own rewards for people know you don’t take them for granted and who knows maybe the next time they won’t take you for granted as well. It might be wishful thinking but two words could start a trend that can make us all be more appreciative and happy with those around us and even if it only stays with me at least I’ll have that reward. Thank you for taking the time to read this blog piece today.

Bill De Blasio boycott Chick Fil A or CHANGE THE SUBJECT

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

Chick Fil ABill De Blasio

Isn’t ironic that Bill De Blasio is bringing up his personal boycott of Chick Fil A just as he is being investigated by Federal authorities for corruption charges? Could it be that he believes by changing the story to some liberal boycott that his corruption charges will fall to the back of the papers?  That he will become some hero to the liberal elite by forcing restaurants that employ hard working NY’s to close because the owner happens to can I say it “an observant Christian”.  Maybe the Mayor should concern himself with more mundane activities such as making sure his employees aren’t slashed as they go to work rather then worry where we decide to eat but then maybe his corruption charges would turn to corruption indictments?

Is this Wrong?

Cheddar Cheese    + Dark Chocolate 2

I didn’t rob a bank or commit adultery but to some foodies what I did was far worse.  For I combined the sharp taste of Cheddar Cheese with the bitter taste of Dark Chocolate and not just any cheese but Cracker Barrel Extra Sharp and Theo 85%. To make matters worse I melted these items together as if they were one and belonged together.  I’m sure there is some foodie law that I broke but it was quite interesting.  I didn’t fall in love with the flavor but I definitely didn’t hate it either. It might be an acquired taste such as a good taste of Whiskey or Donald Trump as the Republican Nominee for President. So I ask you did I cross the line of good taste or did I just create a new taste?

Hawaii with no Cell

heavenly gates

If we can see life as just a journey from one place to a higher place with no cell service (emails or faxes) it makes us less fearful of moving through “G-D willing” the heavenly gates. For our deceased loved one’s are living without pain and suffering in a world that is truly peaceful and just right for them.  Why should we think otherwise if we believe that G-D is all good, powerful and just then obviously this one stop here can’t be the end for those that were made in G-D’s image. Of course we will miss them but understanding that they are in the better place that makes the Trump Towers appear as a squatters village, makes the pain a bit more bearable.   Our job is to do our best here for goodness sake so the door to the heavenly gates will be wide open upon our return home.

Life Support for living

Life Support 1 Life Support 2

Recently a loved one was pulled of life support “according to her wishes” but I wonder if a few days more would have been better for the living? Giving loved one’s an opportunity in days rather then a moment to say goodbye can help them deal with the grief when such an individual is going to their resting place.  Maybe a moment of personal prayer with an individual ready to depart helps insure they get to the pearly gates a bit faster or at least makes the person who is here feel they are doing something for them. G-D willing those that read this blog will not be on either side of this issue for many years to come but if so please think about those who are left behind before such decisions are made.

Cinco De Mayo- Trump

Cinco De Mayo Donald Trump Victory Cinco De Mayo 2

Cinco De Mayo under a Trump Presidency might be a bit different as a wall between American Mexican Taco’s and Mexican Taco’s is built.  That’s correct under a Trump Presidency those Chiwawa’s will have to be American born or at least wear a good mustache.  Yet even during such a Presidency I’m sure the Donald won’t be able to resist a glass of Corona even if the Lime is imported  from Mexico.  Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Ed Henry- Affair- Time Management

Ed Henry

It is reported that Fox News White House Correspondent Ed Henry  is taking a leave of absence because of a reported affair, which begs the question how does he have the time? Forget about the moral implications of such an act for the moment and think about the time aspect.  For example I work at least 40% of the day,  sleep for 28 % of the time  and then have to pay bills, take the dogs for walk it’s amazing I have time for this blog let alone an affair. Yes I understand the act can take maybe 1 % of your scheduled time but you still have to travel there and back let alone talk in between. To conclude  I for one do not see an affair in my future mostly because it’s wrong and expensive but also throws your whole schedule out of whack and who has time for that.
