Angela Merkel is an excellent choice for Time Magazines person of the year because her decisions have had an enormous impact on the world. Whether it be bringing in thousands upon thousands of Syrian refugees to Germany or her bailout of European countries that are on the brink of despair there is no way anyone can logically say she has had a big impact on the world events. Many will disagree with her decisions including me but to disagree on the significance of those decisions is silly. I’m sure if Donald gets to 160o Pennsylvania Avenue next year he’ll pick up his Time Magazine and be on the cover but until then Angela Merkel deserves that spot.
