Tequila   Family Business

For those who have taken the mantle to the next generation this Tequila is for you.  Beer is not enough for the hard work that you will endure without the acknowledgment of the society you work in . It is true you have been blessed to be in a family business but you are also cursed with the emotion of being in such a business. Where work doesn’t start at 9 and end 5Pm but continues way before and after that clock.  A business where rewards may be gained financially but the emotionally gains will also be lacking. Very few will acknowledge the incredible impact you have brought to the business but will easily find the deficiency you have with other members of your family. Yet the greatness that you continue for your family, your customers and society as a whole should not be ignored.  This Tequila is for you it’s tough, strong and smooth just like the person that you are.

Amy Schumer-SNL- Let down

I’ve pretty much missed the “Amy Schumer” Hollywood entrance so I decided to get a taste on SNL and it was sorta bland.  I’m not sure if it was “her fault” or the writers of the show but it left with me an impression that nothing really funny happened here.  Of course there were some tasteless jokes but they were timid because at this point that’s what we expect.  Maybe they tried to hard or the skits were way too long either way sleep or the Met game (they were losing) was a better option. Maybe I’ll check out Amy’s other entrances (Trainwreck, Inside Amy Schumer) because I walked through this door and ran to the next door of sleep instead.

Black Mass- Criminal Mind

Black Mass

“Black Mass” gives the audience insight into the criminal mind as few movies do.  Johnny Depp demonstrates through his portrayal of Whitey Bulgar that to be a successful criminal  you must be ruthless in covering up any chance of leaks even if it takes away all your humanity.  The criminal also must not openly flaunt his wealth for that can cause more of a problem to his enterprise then the violence that he/she may commit.  “Black Mass” is an excellent movie that allows the viewer to understand this conflict in a coherent bases.  It is well written with cinematographer and set design that is appropriate for the action on the screen.

*** 1/2 – There were some slow scenes that were a bit too long otherwise I’d add a 1/2 star more.

Randy Quaid ????

Where did this “Randy Quaid” (above) come from? How many steps did he fall from the ladder before he hit this floor?  Where was his family, friends and peers that could have saved him or was he bent on his own destruction?  When an “ordinary person” falls we might have a greater understanding because they have not been up the hill of a celebrity life yet mental illness doesn’t discriminate from where you are and if not treated brings everyone to that same floor.  It’s time that we took a new look on how we can take care of those that are suffering even if they may not realize that this is occurring whether they be on Rodeo Drive or Main Street mental health shouldn’t be ignored.

Fun Curve

Most of us start our life at the top of the roller coaster with our mother as well as our father/helpers providing for our ever need. The world appears so exciting as we have no knowledge of what we see and our own limitations.  Yet as we  grow we have to adopt to those that don’t care about our needs and the limits of our own abilities.   The center of attention must be earned not with just a smile but by actually achieving some goal.  The years grow as we go up and down many a hill all in the effort to reach that initial starting spot.  We may never get to that exact starting spot but the years if kind to us will allow us to move on a level happiness curve as we enter our senior years with less responsibilities and more fun ahead.

Pray for ” Bright Day”

Bright Day

I have a simple prayer for us all today that G-D gives us a bright day. A day when the clouds that hide the greatness we’ve been given dissipate. This day should give us the light to turn towards, instead of a darkness that appears as tasty as an apple but is surrounded with the bite of snake.  May the brightness of the day give us a peace of mind to enjoy the simple pleasure that too often are never smelled. A simple “bright day” maybe all we need to regain that truth and happiness that sometimes we cover in our own clouds of despair and worry.

Guitar Pain

My first guitar lesson helped explain why so many famous guitarist decided to self medicate … it hurts. I guess the more you play the greater you get accustom to such pain but I wondered do you really have to gain through it.  I’m going to continue to see whether this is true but at the same time experiment with a solution. Let’s just say my pain might be to the guitarist benefit… in the future.

You are just about to enter the door of new opportunity but the gate keeper still holds the key. They are the person who will decide whether you enter that door or are turned away. It might be that secretary that won’t let you see the boss without something for her or the wife that makes sure her husband is busy whenever you ring the door either way these individuals will their power in any direction they want.  Your dreams could die at their doorstep if they keep that gate closed but always remember there’s a window of opportunity that they forgot to guard.

Kevin Mccarthy Mia Love

Whether you agree or disagree with Kevin McCarthy’s run for leadership of the House you must concur that he showed real class and dignity in the way that he dropped out of the race. In his concluding remarks he said that we needed a new direction in our leadership and I believe we should take his remarks to heart by bringing in Mia Love to this position. I understand that it’s unconventional to have a freshman congressperson take such a senior roll but we live in unconventional times where the top people vying for the Republican Nomination have never held political office. Mia Love will shake things up in the house of the people and demonstrate that this party is not just based on seniority and moments of the past  but unique talents and style for the future. Mia Love should be the next Speaker of the House.

Those who take the bible seriously must understand that man and woman are equal in the eye’s of G-D. For G-D made woman out of the same body as a man not from some other worldly creature.  Furthermore even though man and woman are made from the same body it is from different parts which have different purposes that allow each to have their own strengths and weaknesses. We also can conclude that this is of prime purpose to G-D because it is the first mention of man and woman.  It is when these two unique bodies come together that G-D allows them to perfect the word that has been created for them to enjoy and take care of.
