It is one of the most important relationships in your life but it mustn’t be your faith! For too many parents today their children have become the leaders of their faith. The parental role of saying no and leading a child down the right path has been neutralized and it is if the child is in charge. Here are a few ways (below) you can determine if you have fallen into this cult.
(1)HAPPINESS AT ALL COST- You can’t bare to see you’re child a bit sad even if it is to the point of growth of character.
(2) EVERYTHING IS FINE- The path you let your child go down is wide open even to many deep cracks in the road that will be hard to recover (ex experimental drug use, immature sexual actions etc).
(3) CRITICISM IS CRUEL- If you unable to offer constructive criticism then you have been fully indoctrinated in this faith and should seek help to get out.
