The art of the deceiver

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Philosophy - No Comments

The deceiver can be found in all different walks of our life. They can be the abusive relationship that promises it will be better next time. The world leader who smiles as he says all they want is peace while they build an offensive stockpile of nuclear or chemical weapons. Or an employee or boss who tells you tomorrow will be different even though tomorrow never seems to come

The deceiver knows more about us then we know about ourselves. He/she understands that we will overlook facts when our emotional needs are met. They understand that appearances (smiles, proper dress etc) can make all the difference. The deceiver understands the role of key words (peace, family, fairness) that can drive someone to their side.  Most importantly the deceiver has the ability to use empathy to manipulate you to their side of view.

We must fight the deceiver whether that deceiver come from our family, our party, or even our faith. The deceiver hurts us and those around us as they use intimidation and fear to stop those around him/her from revealing the truth. Facts and the truth must be continually thrown back at the deceiver but in a way that makes this individual eventually fall.  We must be willing to use their weapons against them whether they be a smiles, proper dress, key words or even the public’s empathy to insure the truth prevails and decency survives.
