I was bullied from grammar school till 11th grade in H.S. It included being picked last on any sports activities to having my books dumped while walking through the school corridors. These were extremely painful years because I was so insecure that I wouldn’t tell anyone else about the pain I was going through. I felt lonely, insecure and at times felt the world was against me. Yet looking back I realize that without these dreadful experiences of the past I wouldn’t be the type of person I am today (the positive side I mean). Here are just a few ways (below) being bullied can make a person better in the long run.
(1) Empathy- I will always look out for those who are hurt and/or not given the proper respect they deserve as G-D’s gift to the world.
(2) Strength/Determination- I was driven to prove the bullies wrong and become successful in what I achieved no matter what the odds.
(3) Insecurity- I will never be so confident and full of ego that I will just sit back and not seek improvement.
I desire to go through this variety of things. Many thanks for the publish.
