BLOCK OUT

It’s amazing how those who should remember can block out their painful past.  The same individuals who have caused severe mental and even physical pain to others have some type of defensive mechanism that allows them not to recognize that they were the culprit. If there is even a chance of recognition of their participation in such an evil act they will completely twist the facts so they will appear innocent in their own minds. While the victims of such abuse must often live with the painful experience every day. In “Why Me” Sarah Burleton portrays a life of abuse that she endured while her mother was able to “block out” the pain and suffering done by her own hands, mouth and soul.  We may never full understand why a loving G-D could allow this to occur but maybe G-D’s ability of forgiveness is so beyond on our comprehension, that G-D could save such a despicable soul while their here so that eventually they could do some good before their condemned for their evil.  May that thought give some comfort to those who live or lived with someone who can “block out“.

Giuliani & Trump LESSON

We may never know the inner workings that occurred which led to Giuliani “pulling his name out of the Secretary of State spot” but we can learn an important lesson. Sometimes silence is truly golden. Whether it appeared for any reason Trump wasn’t going to pick Giuliani for this position and he allowed him to bow out gracefully or Giuliani was tired of standing by we know he left walking out instead of being kicked. Making sure your friends have the dignity and respect they deserve insures that they stay you’re friend for the long term when things don’t work out in the short term.

Betsy Devos, Nikki Haley- DONALD STOP IT

Stop it President Elect Trump you’re destroying our narrative by electing two strong competent people for your cabinet (Betsy Devos, Nikki Haley) who happen to be woman it’s getting harder and harder to call you a sexist. They’re sorta whitish woman I mean Nikki has some Indian blood but um…   Well we always have the racist angle… wait it’s rumored you’re picking picking Ben Carson who last I checked had darker skin then most of my friends in Wisconsin for a cabinet spot but we can claim he’s an Uncle Tom or at least try to.  Okay the racist label is peeling but can still hold, that’s a relief.  No,  it can’t be Harold Ford who passes the competence and skin test is also a Democratic operative who you’re strongly considering for another cabinet position. Where can our narrative go hmm he hasn’t picked an illegal immigrant to the cabinet and I’m sure we can pin his feet to the fire on that one … even if there is no real fire to start.

Trumps silent partner- Jared Kushner

Sometimes those in the background wield most of the power in the world of politics, as Jared Kushner appears to illustrate.  We in the public don’t hear Mr. Kushner speak up but it appears his silence is heard by the President Elect.  His talents in exercising this power can exercise certain individuals (ex Chris Christie) from their power card and make him the ace of spades. Was it revenge for Christie’s prosecution of this father that took him down we may never know but the silence is deafening.  Even the walks with Kushner along the White House permit er are filled with key officials in power which help solidify his strength.  Jared Kushner he might be the one to watch even if he is the one card that is hidden from the deck.

To Loyal

One of my strongest traits is loyalty even to those that have taken their nose from me or loosened their grip.  Loyalty has kept me holding on to others that I probably should have left go.   I hope to learn to loosen my grip as well when the bond is falling apart and grab someone else instead that is pulling me in.  For being loyal is a key trait to who I am but being stupid is one I need to get rid of.   I might turn the other cheek but I only have one face and it might be time to look another way.

Trump Magic

Even if you were opposed to Donald Trump in the general election you must respect the “magic” which led him to the White House. I am not talking about the hocus pocus magic or Witch’s brew but the type that does everything against “conventional wisdom” and still wins.  Conventional wisdom in politics would conclude that those who have the biggest organization with the greatest amount of talent and $$ behind them would win the race but this time the Elephant pulled past the tortoise as well as  the hare and he wasn’t even supposed to be in the race.  Here are some of the factors that jetted this Elephant past the rest of the crowd.

(1) BRANDING- The Trump brand of bold & brash success is something that any opponent would have difficult conquering.

(2)PARTY- Trump was able to build rallies across the nation that felt more like a party then a structured formal political event

(3) OUTSIDER/CHANGE- Money and power fall on their face when the outsider appeal is used against them.

(4) LEAN & MEAN- Having a few good men and woman busting their chops and chopped liver for you is sometimes better then having thousands of supporters who are lost in the crowd.

(5) EASY MESSAGE/SLOGAN- Simple slogans that resonate with the American people and hold on to them stay longer then any policy speech.

Donald Trump pick for the Supreme Court

Based on how my recent political predictions have gone I will tell you that Donald Trump will not pick Ted Cruz for the Supreme Court. He’ll probably go with Barrack Obama. My other recent political picks included Hillary Clinton winning the President and Marco Rubio being the Republican nominee so I hope I do as well with this prediction.  Ted Cruz would be his best choice for the following reasons (below) and therefore I won’t change my prediction.

(1) Ted Cruz is known as a Constitutionalist who is not only verse with the subtext but many of the commentaries as well.

(2) If Mr. Cruz is selected he won’t be a thorn in Donald Trump’s attempt to pass legislation that might be very controversial and also won’t be a problem if Donald Trump decides to seek re-election in 4 years.

(3) Legislators have a history of supporting other legislators who have jumped to the judicial branch. Which will make this pick much easier for confirmation purposes.

(4) It doesn’t appear that Senator Cruz has many skeleton’s in the closet that could derail his nomination as revealed during his run for the Republican Presidential campaign.

(5) Even if he’s not accepted by the Senate he’ll owe Donald Trump a favor which can be called on at anytime.

(6) It’s the fight that conservatives would want to have enduring them to his Presidency when he might make moderate decisions in the future.

START/FINISH

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Philosophy - No Comments

start-finish

Whether it be in the arts or life it’s not what’s in the middle that holds you but the start and the finish.  We all start out in the safety of a mother’s womb with G-D watching over us so the beginning is taken care of but how we end we’ll be determined by the book we write. Even days, weeks, months and years will be determined by how they start out and how they’ll finish with thoughts of G-D to begin/end determining where we start the next page.    In a movie/music the opening will give you the viewer the determination to continue watching and/or absorbing but if the end falls flat what happens in the middle will soon be forgotten. Life and art might be quite different yet the beginning and ending should have the same impact for lasting success and memory.

Other Lives Matter

black-lives-matter

I agree “Black Lives Matter” and that steps should be taken to try to lesson the death and injury of African American’s by law enforcement officials and/or criminal activity.

blue-lives-matter

Yet we must also be concerned with the random acts of violence that are taking too many of our peace officers everyday!

military-lives-matter

Military Lives must matter as well and we must show proper respect to those that protect our freedom to protest when we feel our lives are not fully respected. Let us show them and the flag they represent the proper respect due.

unborn-lives-matter

The truth is all lives matter from the unborn child in the womb to the elderly senior living day to day in a nursing home. Maybe “Black Lives” matter can lead us down this path and then eventually we all can truly live with the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

Trump Winning 2nd

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Philosophy, Political - No Comments

Donald Trump might be more concerned about keeping his image as a brash outspoken individual then actually winning the Presidency. An image that he believes he can bank on whether it’s at the White House or a television network. Political pundits have tried to figure him out and why he continues to put a foot or other part of his body in his mouth but maybe he just doesn’t care. Maybe winning the Presidency isn’t as important to him as being honest with who he is to himself , his family and his die hard supporters.   Whether you like Donald Trump or not you must respect that he is who he is and isn’t afraid to where that suit.
