The TRUTH …. for now

Yelling

What I’ve learned with my association with other human beings and even sometimes myself that the truth can change in an instant especially when it deals with feelings.  I’ve heard many a time “I’ll never speak to them again” and later in the day see them communicate as if they were the best of buddies.  Hate can become love if you give someone an hour, day or even sometimes a year in between.   When those metamorphosis occurs it’s best for the outsider not to acknowledge that this has occurred because then the excuses and denials will be thrown back at the outsider for as long as the heated emotions occurred in the 1st place.  Let someone have their TRUE emotion even if it’s just for the moment, acknowledge it, then move on and soon the truth might change before your eyes.

Contacts, Contacts, Contacts

handshake

In the movie “The Graduate” it is said that the future lies in one word “Plastics” and when dealing with real estate the word location is repeated 3 times yet I say that both words can be replaced with one that spans generations “CONTACTS”.  Many a talented individual is hidden because they lack the right door to knock while on the other hand how many movies scene at a fancy film festival should have been reserved for the bathroom instead?  The truth is to move up the ladder of success talent is important but contacts are key and knowing how to build/strengthen these relationships will have you jump further up then those with greater talent trying to cling to the first step.  Therefore developing personality traits that are warm, fuzzy and fun might just be as important as knowing your A,B,C and 1,2,3.  Maybe if I had spent more time having fun with those around then studying books on success I would be shaking hands with the President rather then my dog.

Puerto Rico Policeman Kills

Puerto Rico Policeman kills

Guarrionex  Candelario Rivera is accused of killing 3 other police officers over an argument that went way out of control which brings us to the point what happens to society when police officer(s) loses it?  Here is a person who is trained to use their weapon to protect society but then a switch of evil turns it against society instead.   This is why it’s essential that we not only train our law enforcement officials once and then bring them on the force but continually work with them to insure they will always be fit for the job.  This might include requiring not only physical check ups but mental health as well.  It also is important that we allow such officers that are having some difficulties an outlet, where they can continue to work in the law enforcement field, while getting treatment. This way they can continue to help others without feeling the stigma wrongly associated with mental health treatment and not be a danger to themselves  or those around them (ex desk work)  If such measures are taken maybe we can avoid such tragedies as the one that occurred in Puerto Rico today.

Better

Better 2

How would you react if you found out that you were smarter, better looking, wealthier, or just better then you ever assumed before?  Would you feel as if a bright light that was hidden just went off? How would you react to those around you that you thought were “equals” but now you find out that you’re truly brighter then them? Could you now take that risk that before you believed only those with “……”  could take?  Where can someone go to find the truth anyway? Check out my next blog piece and you just might help turn that switch.

Trump calls Newspaper ” A Pile of Trash”

Joseph Mcquaid donald Trump 2

Donald Trump took a swipe at the Manchester Union and it’s Publisher Joseph Mcquaid after he compared Trump to the fictional character “Biff Tannen” from the Back to The Future series which raises an interesting point. Is it best to ignore your critics or attack them back?  In the case of this election it appears that the attack mode is certainly working?  I on the other hand have normal ignored my critics and even have challenged their assertion without insulting the character of the one who is criticizing.  Yet maybe I should once in awhile take a card from the Trump playback because it appears that he keeps on drawing a full house with this approach. The Union Leader was very brash in their criticism of the Donald so maybe they deserved a slap back as well but wouldn’t it have been a bit refreshing if there was a bit more then just the slap but context as well. I guess in the end it would be beneficial if I had a bit more Trump in me but maybe it would be helpful to Trump if he had a bit of Bud Rebel in him as well.

Talent Usurps Walls

Talent has overcome any barriers that society or groups might put on others. Whether it be in entertainment, business or even politics those who have the talent can climb above any walls that society has put around them.  Of course these individuals must also sometimes be self taught, have strong motivation and belief in themselves for this to occur. Yet  when you’re the first in the group that’s made it most people will try to keep you there even if it’s to be the token.  Those that have extraordinary talents also can escape the penalties that others with mediocre abilities would have to occur whether it be by making a political incorrect statement or even commit a crime.   Today if there is in justice it’s between those of talent and those that are lacking and not based on any other conditions. It is this injustice which we tolerate because either subconsciously or consciously we fear losing such talent.

VA Housing Today!

Veteran's

Those that were willing to give their life for our country shouldn’t be left in the dark upon their return.  Instead they should have apartment housing units across the country geared to them.  These units would be available only to veterans and their immediate families and the costs to live in such facilities would be on a sliding scale based on their income.  Their would be niche stores (geared to their needs), service centers (job placement) and health facilities located within the buildings so that our heroes could easily get the supplies they need with the respect they deserve.  This is one expense we owe our veterans and I as one taxpayer would be happy to contribute to such an essential endeavor.

Why Rubio? Why?

Marco Rubio

I’ve supported your campaign for President way before you announced but the way you’re running the campaign it makes me have strong doubts.  Here (below) are just a few reasons that this has occurred.

(1) Missing the vote on the Omnibus bill.  Your critics have portrayed  you as not showing up for the job why do you continue to give them ammunition for this statement?

(2)  Lackluster campaign in Iowa-  I understand that this will be a difficult state to win but if you’re not in it fighting your opponents paint you as lazy and out of touch. Plus it’s the open shot that needs to be made.

(3) Working with the grassroots- The campaign has had plenty of large donors but their not the ones who have to vote for you. It’s time to reach out and get to know your supporters and have them involved in your campaign.

I understand you’re not a big fan of the Donald but I believe it’s time you listen to his timely advise when it comes to the staff that is leading you down this path and say “You’re Fired”.  You can look and act the part but how you perform in the campaign is really what counts.

Adele, Star Wars, Donald Trump- THE WAVE

The Wave star wars the force awakens 1 donald Trump 2Adele

Once a wave starts it continues to build and build until it finally crashes.   The question who starts such a wave the actual person, place, thing or is it just timing and marketing? For example Donald Trump has excelled at this effect as he seeks the Republican nomination where no matter what he says it continues to grow the point is does it crash before the Republican nomination or in the general election? This occurred with Barrack Obama and George W Bush as well.  Adele’s song “Hello” was a hit before it even came out and don’t get me on “Star Wars the Force Awakens”.  Most will eventually ride such a wave but even for those who try to avoid it there is no way to eventually get wet as well.

Happy Around

Happy among gloom

I generally start and end my day with a smile on the face even though I pass many with the eyes of gloom along the way. The crazy thing about it is those who appear the most glum usual are the ones that should be the happiest, for they have the “better life”. I guess having the “better life” is more stressful then us who have let’s say a life full of glass along our path. We learn to weave through the points so well that sometimes we forget they’re even there.  Somehow I start to see the sun before it shines and stare at the brightness of the stars even in pitch dark. During the day there are many valleys where my smile turns upside down but somehow it usually changes pattern before I realize it.  It is an extinct in me that I hope never goes away and spreads to those around me as well.
