Paid $ Friends

exchanging money 2 frat

When I was a few years younger (maybe more then a few) I thought that joining a Frat was pathetic because you were in a sense paying for friends but as the years go bye and bye I gained additional wisdom that modified such a position. For in sense we all pay for friends whether it be through the clubs and organizations  we join or even our educational pursuits, we all hope to gain a friend or two along the way.  Many of us will even transfer out of such institutions or group even if we’re doing well and learning what we want if we don’t find the buddies to share it with.  With that philosophy in mind I realized paying Google to broadcast my ideas to a larger audience, is a form of paying for friends as well and I’m okay with it.  For friendship might have to start with a down payment but if you invest in the right friends it could be the best investment you’ve made in your life.

Friends 1 guy friends

Further note I understand Sponge Bob & Patrick break this rule but they’re special.

Republican Primary- Unconventional Thinking

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Philosophy, Political - No Comments

John Kasich

Conventional thinking says that the sooner the field shrinks from Kasich, Ben Carson, and Ted Cruz the better chance for Marco Rubio to gain the Republican nomination but what if a different path is considered.  Let us say that by Kasich staying in the race Ohio is denied as a win for Donald Trump as are a few other states.  While at the same time Texas is won by Ted Cruz instead of the Donald. Ben would keep smiling I guess.  Maybe enough 2nd place finishes by Marco Rubio will enable him to squeak by in the delegate count at the end just enough to deny Mr. Trump the nomination. Then Kasich and Cruz could give the delegates they won to Marco at the convention enabling him to get the Republican nomination.  You might think this is too strange too occur but 6 months ago nobody thought a  business man with no political experience would be the front runner in the Republican Presidential race either.

Marco Rubio Establishment?

Posted by Bruce - in Philosophy, Political - No Comments

Marco Rubio

I find it astonishing to hear the media elite call Marco Rubio an “establishment candidate” today, which obviously shows how soon history is forgotten.  The only establishment that Marco Rubio belongs is to the people. Here’s a few examples below that show Marco is truly the voice of the people and not the Washington insiders.

(1) Marco Rubio’s Father was a bartender and his mother was a housekeeper which I would say is not the “established” family hierarchy in the world of politics.

(1) As House Speaker in Florida Legislator he left a blank book “100 Innovative Ideas For Florida’s Future; but the book was intentionally blank, because it had not yet been written, and Rubio told his colleagues that they would fill in the pages together with the help of ordinary Floridians. (From Wikipedia). Making sure that those public servants go out and listen to the citizens isn’t a standard practice of the “establishment”

(2) He ran as a Tea Party favorite against an established Senator Charlie Crist from Florida and brought down this crowny political figure. Challenging an incumbent Republican leader in a Primary is not what those in the establishment desire.

(3) In October 2011, Rubio co-sponsored the Reducing the Size of Federal Government Through Attrition Act. The bill, which was not voted on in the Senate, would have reduced federal employment by 10% by 2015 (From Wikipedia).  Trying to eliminate positions government cronyism is something the establishment would find reprehensible.

By the way you can tell by my writing style that I’m not part of the elite for I’m sure I’m missing one or more commas or semi somethings.

Ben Carson drops out and ….

Ben Carson

No, I’m not working for the Ted Cruz campaign but if Ben Carson wants to have an impact on the Presidential election today could be that day. Ben Carson has a steady 6-10% of the vote and if he suspended his campaign today and endorsed a former competitor he could change the direction of the race just before the Nevada Primary.  If that would be the case there is only one candidate in the top three who hasn’t stooped to below the belt attacks on him and that is Marco Rubio.  Marco Rubio trails the Donald by 10-20% in the Nevada polls and with Jeb Bush out and Ben’s endorsement this could put him over the top.  Dr. Carson is an incredibly intelligent and gifted individual who has made difficult decisions in the past that have saved life’s. Today I ask him to make another tough decision that could save the life of his party and heal the nation as a whole.

Who’s locked up

locked in jail

Who is really the person behind bars? While it appears that those who sit in the cell have no freedom we might be trapped in jobs that get us know where, in relationships that should have ended years ago and obligations that we feel trapped in while the man behind the iron bars is free to spend his/her time  on their own thoughts, writings or readings. We just don’t have the time or energy to be free. So I ask, did you commit an act that has put you behind bars or have you just locked yourself up?

Presumed Guilty

fingerprinted handicuffed

When an individual is arrested no matter if the case is thrown out the person lives with the pain for a lifetime.  I should know because I was arrested for a crime that was so fallacious that it was thrown out before a grand jury was even called, yet in the back of my head it always disturbs me that someone might presume wrongly. If the police had done even 1/2 of an investigation they would have seen that the crime I was accused was physically impossible. It was more likely that I had tail or Santa Clause existed then the accusation that was put in front of them was true  but my name isn’t Clinton so arrest 1st ask questions later.  The police threatened me in unspoken terms after the case was dropped after I asked them to arrest the individual who brought false charges to the court. I later won a civil case against this individual but with him being a penniless lawyer it amounted to a box of beans.

The fear is so profound that I’ve written about almost everything but have held this one back. Yet there are too many innocent people out there that are “presumed guilty” even before a trial occurs, that I had to speak out.  Justice needs to be heard throughout our land and the investigators should be more interested in that factor then got a collar for their medals. Good life’s across this nation are being destroyed because of false accusations and we need to put a stop to it!   Here a few solutions (below) that could insure justice is truly heard.

(1) PRINT- The media should be forced to print information on those who’s cases have been dropped or face libel lawsuits.

(2) PROSECUTE- Those who bring false charges should be prosecuted as aggressively as those who have been accused.

(3) PROTECT- Individuals who have brought charges against another individual should be given protection against those individuals even court protection during the investigative period.

(3) PROVIDE– Unless their is a court order that an arrest is necessary for public safety at that moment, investigators should provide time for the accused (with legal counsel)to state their case before any arrest can be taken place.  This way clear alibi’s can be thoroughly vetted in advance.

Kasich holds key-Republican Presidential Primary

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Philosophy, Political - No Comments

John Kasich

Right now John Kasich holds the key to see who wins the Republican Presidential Primary and the longer he holds onto it without acting, the more difficult it will be to insert.  Governor Kasich needs to suspend his Presidential race or at least remove himself from the Nevada Primary consideration to insure that someone other then Donald Trump is the Republican nominee.  I say remove himself from the Nevada primary because maybe in his mind he wants to consider the fight but at least he should give Rubio the gloves to go against Trump in this important state where he is out of contention.  If Rubio is able to squeak out a victory or come within the margin of victory maybe Governor Kasich will realize that the private sector is calling him back and drop out of the race.  Governor Kasich as a public servant that has done great things for your country it’s time to make the personal sacrifice for her now and hand in the key.

Close but Distant

Close but distant 2

You live in the same room but feel miles away? Dinner is just you two but your minds couldn’t be farther apart.  Just because you are close to someone doesn’t mean that you are still not distant.   For even those across the globe can have a bond that is stronger then those that are right in your own house.  It is not over an argument that has caused this rift to occur it’s just that the bridge has been warn down over-time. So can a bond be built when it appears proximity has nothing to do with those feelings. Here’s a few suggestions.

(1) POP IN THEIR WORLD- Spend some time each day trying to explore the world of the other and then ask pertinent questions about such a world.

(2) FIND SOME SPARK- Don’t expect a burning light to bring you together but look to those small sparks that you share together and try to add extra timber to them.

(3) GET AWAY- Sometimes spending moments apart can bring you closer then times you’re bound to be together.

(4) NEW – Shake up the routine with something new or different.

Donald Trump Loses South Carolina Primary

Donald Trump sad

This is not my prediction after my Superbowl pick but the latest polls did show a tightening in the race so what happens if Donald is Trumped in South Carolina?   Will the political narrative we’ve been hearing since Iowa start to change? I guess it depends who wins the race for if Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Ben Carson or the guy from Ohio (John Kasich) pull off a win it will be reported as the  upset of the century while if  Ted Cruz wins it will just be a squeaker nothing to look out, at least according to the mainstream media. Let’s just say Ted Cruz isn’t the media darling of the race.  Yet how will the winning Donald Trump spin a loss in South Carolina? What will Trumpster’s do and feel in response will they continue to follow as sheep off a cliff or could the other candidates peel them away in time for the general election should he continue to fail? My prediction for today (with my Duct Tape Crystal Ball) is that Donald Trump will win but only by single digits changing the entire race on Sunday.

Real Free Time

Free Time

At this exact moment I have “REAL FREE TIME”!  For at this precise moment I have no work or family responsibilities. Every moment of my day and night is usually planned to the hill even to the point of the time I decide to visit the men’s room but now I can go (literally) whenever I want.  I guess I could help with the wash or clean something up or I could just sit and stare at a wall or the boob tube. This moment could be dedicated to discovering the world around me or just trying to absorb it for all it’s worth. I could go to sleep or start running in circles it’s my free moment and it won’t last more then a few more hours (sleep will start to sneak up). The clock is a ticking for my mind, body and soul can only exist in this moment for so long before the clock of real time begins again.
