Have Fun

to do list have fun 1 have fun 2

In between your crazy schedule make sure you make some time to have fun. The type of fun that gets you through with a smile even the most difficult parts of a day.  You will always be a child in the time span of a universe so once in awhile it’s good to act as such and just have fun. No instructions required but laughter a must. Fun of course should bring a smile to even those serious adult looks around you but even if it doesn’t shine through their inner child is coming alive as well.  Fun a commodity we all need more of everyday.

2016 Presidential Race- Git Ur Done

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Philosophy, Political - No Comments

donald trump

I believe the 2016 Presidential Race has been run on “Git Ur Done” politics.  The leader who has shown that they are best able to accomplish big things in the past and skyscrapers are big, is the Donald leading the race. Policies and positions in the past have less to do about success in this years Presidential race then any I’ve seen in my lifetime.  If this continues to be the main objective of the people throughout this political season then they’ll be nothing that will stop 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue from become full of glitter/ gold a bit more hair and a few extra rooms..

Fox News Presidential Debate Detriot Fox News Presidential Debate March 3 2016

I’ve watched all of the Republican Presidential debates and you might wonder if I’ve truly obtained new information from this absorption of time? That is why I decided to write this blog piece because I wanted to explore what facts I actually obtained and can regurgitate the morning after (see below) without looking at the news coverage. I apologize if any might not be exactly write but these are the ones that I remember as best as I can without notes.  The facts we absorb can be based on the perception we have going in so please share the facts you remember as well.

1.Donald Trump donated 5 times to Hillary Clinton’s 2008 Presidential Campaign.

2. Trump University has received a D- from the Better Business Bureau and the judge in the appeals court has said it was similar to a Bernie Madoff scheme.

3. Donald Trump said it would be a dis-service if he or any candidate released notes from the press that were said off the record.

4. Mr. Trump believes you must be flexible on positions such as the H1 Visa program which he now is in favor of.

5. The tax plan that Donald Trump doesn’t add up in terms of revenue coming into the government and cuts in spending to pay for them.

Further note – I believe none of these facts will not hurt Donald Trump’s campaign because of the calm and Presidential way he responded to them.  Ted Cruz and Donald Trump were the big winners of the debate.

Fox News Presidential Advise- Last Minute Advise

For those eager to knock Donald Trump off his lead here’s some last minute advise that might help (below).

(1) KINDNESS THEN KILL-  Give the Donald and his supporters compliments before you attack him on policy.

(2) TRY TO STAY AWAY FROM THE PERSONAL- It’s best if you can attack Mr. Trump on the way he thinks government works rather then how it actually works, then get in a name calling contest.

(3) STATE WAY YOU’RE THE TRUE OUTSIDER- Clearly demonstrate through examples how you have been the outsider trying to change the system and the success you made along the way.

(4) HAVE A DETAILED PLAN THAT’S EASY TO UNDERSTAND- A, B, C

(5) SUGGEST A BRAND NEW STRATEGY TO SOLVE A PROBLEM THAT HASN’T BEEN HEARD  TONIGHT- Steal any of my ideas on this  blog.

(6) UTILIZE SELF DEPRECATING HUMOR- Now that Ben Carson has left the room feel free to add this to your touch.

(7) GET PERSONAL- Tell about your own struggles and adversaries as well as share a quick story about a friend. Topics of friends could include drug abuse, mental health, difficult marriage, battling poverty etc then hit the audience with a solution that shows how you care.

Anyone but …. Hillary-Fox News Presidential Debate

I believe we should work as hard as we can to insure our Republican candidate wins but when that Fat Lady & Man (trying not to be sexist) is singing and dancing we need to stand with the candidate that ends up as the victorious elephant. For although we might not be sure of what we will get with this victorious candidate at least we know the mess we would get with Hillary or another Democratic Candidate. All you have to do is look to the last 7 years and you can see that destruction continue for at least another 4 years until the nation we knew is unrecognizable to the next generation. Let us pledge to continue to have a feisty debate of not just personalities but substantial issues on Fox tonight and further down the calendar so that the candidate who emerges will be best suited for such a challenge. Let us also pledge that when it truly becomes evident that we listen to that voice and stomping and move together to the light.  It may be difficult to throw your support down an aisle that you didn’t want to walk but at least it is the aisle that leads to a bit more sunshine then we are in now.

Trump release tapes-Fox News Presidential Debates

Donald Trump Confused secret tapes

Donald Trump must tell the NY Times to release the tapes of his off the record now because they would seep out in a general election campaign against Hillary Clinton at exactly the wrong moment if he doesn’t.  Mr. Trump must realize that the NY Times isn’t going to be in his camp if he was to gain the nomination but instead would do everything in their power to  get Hillary or the Democratic nominee elected, including “accidentally” releasing information they said they would keep private. Even if they didn’t unofficially or officially release such tapes they could hint of damaging information on such tapes even if it wasn’t exactly true.  Just the fact that they acknowledge such tapes exist is an obvious breach of trust.  Therefore for the good of the Republican Party nominee I plead with Donald to request that the NY Times stops this game and releases the entire tapes at the Republican Presidential Debates tonight.

FURTHER NOTE- No Republican candidate should ever have “off the record comments” with the NY Times or similar type of liberal newspaper.

Super Tuesday- I’m lost but…

Super Tuesday lost

“Super Tuesday” left me lost not sure where a part of my life was going.  Throughout my early childhood till that night I was a proud Conservative Republican starting with Ronald Reagan on policies such as Pro-Life, Pro-Business, Pro-America Strength aboard but last night it felt as if the party turned dark.  It was not just the negative messages of the leader of the race Donald Trump that has resonated throughout “Republican circles” now throughout the country that has made me it appear as the door has closed on my face but that their is no depth in his answers. Truly intellectual conservative discussion and discourse based on constitutional principles has been thrown to the side replaced with trash talk, one liners and a reality series that has become real.

I know I was naive or dreamy but until last night I felt that those same conservatives throughout this great land would come back to a true Constitution Conservative who had the best chance to win back 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue but this morning I’m lost and the keys have been left in the Delorean .  It is true that Marco Rubio finally won a state (Minnesota) and that Ted Cruz won 3 so the race goes on but even if their is an unbelievable upset it still feels as if my party of Reagan has lost it’s ump and I’m wondering if a different path in life must I take as well. I’ve battled many personal political defeats and despair in the past (from Bill Clinton, Barrack Obama, Don’t fight Congress etc)  but this one appears to be the straw that sent this Camel to the Chiropractor.   Today I will walk an unknown path as I explore the artistic and faith side of my life with a bit more depth that the political side has taken for the last 40 or so years. Where I end up only G-D knows but getting myself depressed is one avenue I refuse to walk… today.

Part of You or Me

Growth of Child

As your child grows up one of the most exciting parts of their growth is seeing them develop parts of you or your spouse. Some of the parts are not so good like the ability to lose things over and over again but many are great such as seeing your creativity in a musical score or painting that they’ve produced. You can fight with your spouse which parts belong to whom ( in my case the big nose and ears belong to me, sorry) but knowing that you’ve truly played a role in seeing this (G-D willing)wonderful  person develop from a child to an adult is something that keeps you living even after you’re parts are getting a bit run down in your own body.

child torn between parents

It also inspires you to help your child get through the situations they will encounter better then you did with the same type of parts. For whatever you weren’t able to foresee in your future can be seen in the eye’s of your child who allows your legacy to go in different exciting directions that your parts didn’t go in your time.

Super Tuesday Please Don’t Vote if …

Super Tuesday

It’s Super Tuesday and I implore you or your friends not to vote if you’re voting for Donald Trump because he’s the lessor of the evils.  I ask this not only on your behalf but the G.O.P, the country and even Donald Trumps behalf (not from his campaign). The reasons are listed below and I hope you will consider them carefully and decide maybe today is a better day to catch a movie, go fishing, or take your dog for a longer walk if you fall into this camp.  I’m available to discuss this further with the media at budrebel18@gmail.com

(1) STRONGER CANDIDATE- Whoever the nominee is will be stronger if the race goes a bit longer because there are too many unanswered questions that occurred as of the last debate and if there not answered now within a vigorous party fight they’ll be asked during the general election hurting our chances to get to the White House.

(2) ATTENTION- Once it appears that the primary season has been wrapped up the media will drift away from the G.O.P. and as often stated even bad publicity is better then no publicity.

(3) BETTER COUNTRY– If the race continues and is competitive the weaker candidates will naturally drop out enabling the last two candidates to have a more thoughtful okay deeper discussion on some of the key issues of today.  This will enable the voters to truly understand the particulars of policy and allow the candidates themselves to improve on the details in their policy points so that when elected these policies can actually be passed and work.

Super Tuesday -Shock & Awe

Marco Rubio 3

“Marco Rubio” pulled out the victories he needed to on Super Tuesday to continue to be Mr. Trump’s main nemesis from grabbing the Republican Nomination. With a win in Colorado, Georgia and Minnesota Rubio has shown he has the ability to go for the gold but his 2nd place finish in Texas (with Cruz on top) illustrated more importantly how he can assemble the delegates to take the Republican Nomination out of Mr. Trumps fingers. Marco Rubio has closed the gap in Florida and with the new renewed support of the Bush team has a good chance to take that state as well. It also appears the nice deal that Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz is holding up as they continue to lay all their shots at Donald instead. Will Marco be able to pull out through to the finish line? Only time will tell but lets just say the media has stopped writing his political obituary and are now studying who he could pick as V.P.

Let’s see if I can go 2 for 2 for the sake of the country I hope it’s yes.
