Philosophy

Are the psychiatrists treating John Hinckley Jr  insane or is it society as a whole that would let this killer back to society?  I understand that individuals with mental health issues may not be in control of their facilities when they perform such hideous action but for the good of society,  those that try to kill the President and cause destruction shouldn’t rejoin us. They may get better but society as a whole is sick from the actions that they took and they need the treatment of seeing such an individual locked up in some type of facility for the rest of their life. Such actions can only propagate violence against other high officials. Let us pass a law that makes sure that this never happens again.

While Donald Trump has considered his core base when picking a true conservative Indiana Governor Pence, Hillary has decided to slam her base instead by picking Virginia Senator Kaine.  This moderate pick of hers is sure to the upset the liberal Bernie Sanders base, who see another committed safe bureaucrat as part of the Democratic ticket.  Hillary probably decided on such a pick because it will help her win Virginia (a key state in the electoral map) but she probably didn’t consider how it might hurt her in states such as Pennsylvania and Ohio. Furthermore the liberal base who Trump has a feelers in will not be drawn to go out and vote for Hillary based on this pick . Most will still vote for her on November 8th but many more might just stay home instead G-D willing giving the election to Donald Trump.

I believe Donald Trump’s unique successful formula will take him straight to 160o Pennsylvania Avenue. It is a formula made of several ingredients (below) that was cooked at the right political environment to work today but might have fallen flat in another time. Just like in real estate you have to know when to get in the oven and when to let others stir the pot.  Donald Trump is the man of the moment because he knows when that moment is.

(1) SPICE- You need to grab the headlines from the first day with a hot controversial subject and make sure your recipe doesn’t become bland with too many apologizes.

(2) BITTER- Their needs to be a simple scapegoats that you can bring up to blame all your problems on or those of the people “you represent”.  One major Bitter flavor but smaller flavors should exist as well.

(3) CONSISTENCY- Make sure your batter is consistent with loyal players that have been with you for years and will stand with you through thick and thicker.

(4) SHARE HAT- When the cake is just about done and you’ve made it yourself make sure it appears that everyone around is going to wear that hat with you and the only reason it was made was for them.

(5) SIMPLE- Don’t try to add to many flavors that make others feel you’re speaking down to them but give them what they want even if it’s Vanilla with Jalapeno’s on the side.

(6) BOLD- Build the biggest image possible that captures the imagination of everyone around even if the formula changes over time.

(7) SUGAR- Add just a touch or two of sugar here or there to draw others that would never eat your cake or even go to your party.

Ted Cruz tried to sow the needle last night at the Republican Convention and in turn pricked himself.  Let’s face it was going to be very hard for Senator Cruz to actually endorse Donald Trump after the verbal abuse he, his wife and  even his father had brought upon them by Donald Trump but then maybe this was one party he shouldn’t have  gone too. It was as if he went to a birthday party and not only forgot the gift but left before the cake presentation.  I can understand Ted Cruz’s principle position but somewhere in the middle of the speech he could have said this ” Me and Donald Trump have had our differences and sometimes it appeared the bridge was just going to break but for the good of our party and the country I have decided to endorse Donald Trump. It is not if there aren’t still some brick in the road that we still need to clean up yet if Hillary is elected they’ll be no bridge at all for this country as we sink deeper and deeper into despair and division“. Then he would have kept to his principles and the delegates from NY might have called his name instead or at least let him finish his speech with claps instead of a Yankee’s cheer.
