It’s the most wonderful time of the year even for those who aren’t of the Christian faith. Where we all can celebrate loved ones, the birth of a child, hear the same songs over and over played (well maybe not that part)  and have some egg nog on the side. Don’t worry Rabbi I won’t tell them to drink it with their Turkey but they go great with Potato Latkes.  So enjoy this special time of the year where we should just show each other a bit more love no matter where our faith lies.  Happy or Merry Chrinukkah to you all and to all a good night.

I can’t figure out exactly how the “Son of Sam” story captured my mind  but it had an impact that entire summer. My mind would often drift on thoughts on how this 11 year old or so would find the clues to capture this heinous crimminal.   Here was the first criminal that had me think “why”and how he would be captured? This story stays in my mind well past many of the current events of today’s time.

“Operation Finale” should have been a film that filled the audience with many different emotions but boredom shouldn’t have been one.  A film telling the story of Israel’s incredible daring capture of the mastermind of pure evil the holocaust should have swept me with powerful emotions but instead I was confused why I was watching this film in the 1st place. Maybe it was the poor cinematography, sound score, dialogue or acting for I know the story would have held up in different lights. Yet the only emotions which stood up were some empathy for Adolf Eichmann which was completely repulsive.  The scenes of the Holocaust didn’t impact the audience to any level of past holocaust films. Opeation Finale failed on so many levels but most significantly on the important message is should have told.

I’ve been given a friends baby to help determine whether it is ready to crawl on it’s own.  I will examine the baby as if I was a doctor although my PHD has not arrived in the mail. Either I was called into this position because he really believes in my skills or he couldn’t find anyone else that would step in.   In the end I might determine that this baby is not ready to get out of the crib but my friend might still put him on the floor. Yet I will consider my work as seriously if this baby was born from my own fingers…. of course I’m writing about a script with it’s own flesh and plot points.

I’ve got it all wealth, fame & power but now I wonder was it worth the climb?  Maybe it would have been better to be down there with you or anyone else? For as I climbed I never looked back as maybe I worried too much about the “Me Too Movement” that I left out the human touch.  I also felt uncomfortable getting close to those of my own gender wondering if a want of  handshake or even a hug might lead others to think I wanted something more. So I stand here alone and though I look powerful from the outside inside I’m melting away as I ponder if I will ever share this touch with another?

I guarantee that no matter how much fun you are having with an activity or product someone else will say it’s a waste. They will claim it is either a waste of time and/or monies where you could be doing or spending your time/monies at a better place.  These remarks can effect the fun so that your smile turns upside down as you think …”maybe she/he”.  Yet knowing that this will occur in all cultures around the world  should give one solace enought to continue to smile while others just shake their heads.
