I can’t figure out exactly how the “Son of Sam” story captured my mind but it had an impact that entire summer. My mind would often drift on thoughts on how this 11 year old or so would find the clues to capture this heinous crimminal. Here was the first criminal that had me think “why”and how he would be captured? This story stays in my mind well past many of the current events of today’s time.
