Gucci- Really!

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

Could Gucci pick a worse time to introduce this sweater well maybe it’s geared for the Virginia Governor and his Attorney General.  Yet how many sweaters could they buy anyway?  The truth is I’m not the most fashionable person but even I know not to put this in my wardrobe. Although since it has be taken off the market it sure will make a great collectible if you’re not too embarrassed to sell it.

Coke Delta Knapkin- I’m lovin It?

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

The new and almost gone Coke Delta Knapkin I’m lovin it!    Sorry Ronald but don’t feel so sad for I’m in the minority as there pulling this napkin off the Delta Menu.  As a person who won friendliest in high school and still keeps the image what better way to get to know your neighbor? With your cell phone’s basically off it’s a way you can keep the conversation going if you like after the flight home or throw it in the trash if you don’t.  The truth is the end of this napkin is a sad commentary of today’s society where instead of reaching out we continue to reach in and wipe away any chance of having a good relationship.

Emotional Time

It’s not that I don’t want to care I just don’t have time to do so.  Yes, I understand you feel hurt, sad, alone and bluh, bluh, bluh but I feel exhausted and that tops your list.  You need someone to talk to about it so let’s get a rain check somewhere between 1PM and 1.01PM …tomorrow or next week.  Emotions take time and I really don’t have any with all the stuff I’m trying to accomplish in between. I might be unsympathetic but at least I haven’t taken any time off my schedule to get there. Okay now I have a minute to ….

Yes that was excellent point.

Red Faced

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

Since many a  face is being revealed from the past. I’ve decided to come clean with my most embarrassing moments, that my mind hasn’t suppressed with redness. Times when my face had a bit more red, not black then it has now. Here are some of the moments (below) that the bag came out.

(1)  LOUD SPEAKER- I had asked one of the prettiest known girls in my school out in a public setting and let’s say the rejection would turn anyone’s face into the real Pocahontas.

(2) REVEALED- Everyone was jumping in the pool ready for the big swim but I forgot that because of a medical condition I was wearing underwear instead of swim shorts. This was revealed to me by everyone once I dove in.

(3) CRACKED GLASS- After discovering that the sun tan place used peanut oil I quickly went to leave unfortunately my nose didn’t see the glass in front of it as I walked/cracked right into their glass door. My family got a good laugh but my nose didn’t find it funny.

(4) SERIOUS MOMENTS- When loved one’s are untreated for mental health issues public episodes can not only be debilitating but embarrassing. Thank G-D they are treatment now.

(5) NOT TEACHERS PET- Trying to get a laugh from a friend I faked punching my teachers car with him nearby. Unfortunately my coordination wasn’t too good as my teacher made sure everyone knew as well.

(6) WOMAN’S CLOTHES- I was only 7 at the time but why did I dress as Tennille when the Captain was right next door.

(7) EVIL-  The false accusations brought upon me took a few sessions of therapy to allow me to reveal the truth to the public.

(8) RESTAURANT NOT WELCOME- Parents understand their adolescent children  might not be so neat but trust me some restaurants don’t as that door was closed in our face.

(9) SCHOOL- Life is never easy for those in middle school and high school but when you’re constantly teased embarrassment is added to your schedule.

Your Base

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

Before you run to the next base make sure your foot stays within the baseline of your base.  Many of us want to be popular but some believe that it only can occur if they keep running even if it’s far from where their boundaries/values they had before. Society is moving in one direction so shouldn’t I try and keep up even if it’s not in the path I’ve been driven?   Such individuals are often called out just as they are about to get home because they forgot where they came from originally and even those who appear to be your new friends will often be the one’s that called it.  Therefore don’t forget about your base and they won’t forget about you as you score that winning home run again.

3:30 AM

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

If Rob (below) it’s lonely at 3 I wonder how he would feel at 3:30 AM, which was my wake up call today.  Yet unlike some alarm that went off I can attribute the morning bliss to taking care of a loved one 20 minutes earlier.  My 3:30 time wasn’t so lonely because my best buddy decided it was time to get up as well with a morning walk.  Yet in the end 3:30 is not a time for rising and shining as bed called me back for an hour of rest before my real alarm told me it’s time for these eyelids to fully open. Anyone have some Java?

State Of Masterpiece

They couldn’t have painted a better picture with President Trump as the artist.

(1) COLORS- The President showed the beautiful mosaic that makes up this great land with a diverse set of individuals noted during the speech.

(2) VIVID- The painting was quite emotional as he spoke about Holocaust Memorial Day, Fighting Childhood Cancer, D DAY, Tree of Life Shooting with individuals in the auditorium

(3) STRUCTURED- This painting was well put together touching on all areas of the canvas he believes we should be looking at instead of other paintings left in the hall.

(4) BALANCE- There truly was a piece in the speech everyone could love even if initially they didn’t want to look at the painting.

(5) UNITY- A painting doesn’t work with all the different elements if there isn’t some overall unity behind it. The President struck that cord with a powerful ending that truly was beautiful.

Coke Saves Day

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

With all the bad publicity from dietitians this little bottle saved our day well actually night.  As my wife’s sugars fell to a dangerous level Coke came to the rescue like a super hero and also tasted great. It’s true we could have used juices to raise her sugars but Coke was invented by a doctor who at this point knew best.  Coke (the drink) has been there when my stomach was not and last night proved that it’s truly there when you need it.

FOOTNOTE- I don’t recommend Coke with your daily diet but when it’s needed it’s a solution that tastes great!

Move In or Move Out

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

As difficult the steps when you can’t move on you must move out.   Whether it be in your personal or business relationship there is no point of carrying on that burden for another day.   You have to find a way to close the door on the past or open a brand new door to an unsure future.  Yet please note that if you decide to move out it doesn’t mean the past will not follow your steps so make sure you fully close the door before you leave.

FOOTNOTE- I personally believe one should try to resolve issues whenever possible but realize that these are just my steps and others walk a different path.

Live 20 Live 40

If you can make it through the next 20 years you’ll probably make it through the next 40 years because the medical breakthroughs they are working on now G-D willing will truly change tomorrow. Here are just a few to think about.

(1) COCKTAIL- An Israel company has had success battling Cancer Cells using a cocktail of medicine similar to the way they treat HIV rather then one medicine at a time. This cocktail would be specific to the person and form of Cancer they have.

(2) STEM CELLS- Our own stem cells are now being modified to be working to repair damage to muscle from wear and tear. They may someday replace organ tissue to bring new vitality to one’s life.

(3) CUSTOM VITAMIN- We on the verge of developing an individual vitamin that one would take for life based on their own DNA profile. This way we can prevent what we believe normally would occur in one’s body over time.

(4) MICROSCOPIC ROBOTS- These will be put into one’s body to monitor vital signs and may be able to quickly dispense medicines directly where they are needed.
