Today, more than ever, we all need a bit more “patience”. In a world where instant gratification is literally at your fingertips, we should take the time to think about how long it truly takes to win. Years go by before one truly graduates from anything, while wars are not won overnight. Many a setback or loss leads to a greater opportunity we couldn’t see if we hadn’t patiently walked through it. It’s ironic that in a time when we are “generally” living longer, we expect results much faster than people in the past, who walked less than half the distance we do. They might have accomplished less but appreciated it a whole lot more. Patience, something we can all use a bit more of in our lives, expectations, and even in a song.
