This (below) is what we should be looking at during the Lindsay Clancy murder trial for they are the ones not coming back. I do not deny Postpartum Depression is something we as society must take more seriously and provide the resources to those that are suffering and Lindsay Clancy was an example of such a failure but at the same time she has lost all humanity. If there was any humanity left she wouldn’t put up any defense and just ask to be put out of her misery. She would never had taken the time to plan an act of such evil without truly calling for help.
Many good people have serious mental health conditions who still understand right from wrong and using Clancy’s defense stereotypes all those that are suffering . There are points where a person acts in such a savage way that they lose the right to be called “human” direct murder of the innocent is one of those. We need to do a better job helping those that are suffering today but Clancy is behind such compassion. Let it be for those innocent children who are no longer with us instead.
