I believe the 2nd Amendment protects the rights of all American’s to own guns no matter race, religion, sex, creed etc with the only exception for mental health issues and/or criminal history. Therefore those that are “transgender” shouldn’t be denied that right unless the drugs the take during such a transition can scientifically be proven to alter their mental health in a violent and/or psychotic way. Until there is clear evidence this is the case individuals who are transitioning should have a mental health evaluation to determine if there is a detrimental effect in their case. Yet after the transition has occurred they should have the exact same right as other American citizens. We can error on the side of caution without trampling on anyone’s rights.
FOOTNOTE- I believe gun store employees should be educated on mental health as a whole.
