It was apparent to everyone else but I kept my eyes from seeing the truth. I just wanted to believe that I was in charge of my destiny instead of a higher authority and those who surrounded me were afraid to say anything different. So even as I was on top of the mountain I slowly methodically moved to the cliff. It’s amazing the disasters one can bring when they are too stubborn to look at one truly is in front of them instead of their ego within.
