I’m free not to please. I can’t always receive a standing ovation from the crowd and should expect a heckle or two no matter the performance I try to lead. It’s not that I’ll stop performing for you but also realize that it’s for me and other potential audience members as well. I guess it’s in my nature to be a pleaser but that nature has moved the mirror a bit closer. This “free entertainer” will now have a closing act and move on to a whole new performance once the claps don’t come in.
