There are some movies that lead a legacy in ones mind long after they’ve seen them for better, worse or in-between. Here are a few (below) that have had such an impact on my life and a note of why that might have occurred. Here are the 1st ten to come to mind today on 4/16/23. I’m sure a neuron is holding back many a great title which G-D willing I can add another day.
- Newsies– The connection with the characters along with the great music and dancing keeps this film in my heart and soul.
- The Greatest Showman- Normally I would say this is too early to add this film to my list as I only saw it a few days ago but the issues of loyalty, fame and family probably won’t fade away.
- Godfather 1 & 2- I know this is an obvious choice as the incredible film-making drew so many in yet the struggles of the characters kept me glued to the screen to the closing credits
- Rambo First Blood- Yes, of course the action held one’s attention throughout the film but the end is the legacy that truly holds you to it.
- Talladega Nights – Sorry, this is just plain hysterical
- Airplane- Ditto above
- Annabelle – Who know a doll could make me scream with terror.
- Six Sense- Took my mind to a whole different sense
- La, La, Land- Just pure entertainment
- Black Swan- An incredible picture where every scene connected like the finest dance.
