I’ve decided for the good of my party and the country as a whole that I’m stepping down for the race to be the leader of the House of Representatives. I ask all those who were going to support me to instead put their full support behind Steve Scalise who has truly the majority voice of the party. This race is not about one person but the good of the nation and therefore my ego must step aside and allow others who can better bring our entire party and even nation together to lead instead of me. Politics sometimes gets in the way of achieving important goals for our country and I’ve decided this is not the battle I will fight anymore.
