For those in the leadership of the Republican party not to lead when it is called upon is a complete failure. Whether this be the former President or one who will seek that office in 2024 somebody should step forward and show how they could solve a real-life problem that is and can occur if they were to take charge. Here is what I would do (below) if I was in such a position.
(1) Meet individually with those seeking the House Majority Leadership such as Kevin McCarthy, Andy Biggs etc
(2) Hold one long drawn-out meeting with Kevin McCarthy and those actively opposed to his leadership in a closed room until a final agreement is made with only water and bathroom breaks allowed.
(3) Once an agreement is made between the parties because eventually, everyone will want to eat and sleep make sure it’s in writing and vote accordingly right away.
