Blonde, on Netflix, is such an unusual piece of art that I wanted to provide some notes (below) on my take rather than a standard review.
- I found the sexual scenes excessive so I fast forward to the next scene although I got the main just of the director as many of these actions were done with pain and humiliation.
- The cinematography is something worthy of an Oscar
- It is an artistic endeavor rather then an entertainment achievement as many of the scenes were a bit slower than what a typical audience would want.
- This film opened my eyes more brightly to the pain of feeling as if one is used as an object rather than the human being they are.
- Blonde showcased that even if one is successful throughout their life what happens with their initial family still can drag an individual down.
- Ana De Armas should be at least nominated for an Oscar by her performance
- If for some reason this film isn’t nominated it’s because those who decide are offended by the obvious and strong Pro-Life message which is refreshing and honest.
*** – I’d ad a 1/2 star more but it dragged at the end.
