Can’t Explain

I’ve been in the business world for over 30 years and although everyday is a bit different yesterday’s story is a bit hard to explain so don’t worry if you befuddled at the end or even middle.  Yesterday unique merchandise came into our store and when a customer called to see if we had it I obviously said yes. The “customer” came in to pick it up but the manager refused to release the material because it was already reserved for their customer. So far I believe you’re following it.  The manager then went to try and see whether their customer would take a bit less so my customer could take a portion for themselves and recovered the ticket of their said customer.  This is when it gets very confusing. I promptly called the managers customer only to see my customer pick up the phone.  It appears that my managers customer was my customer as well and everyone lived happily ever after except for the person reading this post who is now thoroughly confused.
