Great Art … A Story

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, cars - No Comments

I arrived late for my art class as I saw individuals already working on pieces that would attach to large collage, when suddenly the teacher called on me.  He told me to think of the 1st thing that comes to mind that I’m passionate about. I responded without much depth dogs. He then asked me why I believed dogs held such a powerful image in my head? I responded because they are loyal and always make you feel like a star.  He then proceeded to tell the class that is what great art should be.  Great art is that extra deep inhale or that sharp exhale. It takes the viewer/listener into the artists emotions with enough space that the viewers can feel it in their own breath as well. Never becoming a lecture just touching  the emotions and letting the viewer create their own story around it.

FOOTNOTE- This story is a true story that occurred in my head during a dream sequence with some additions later on.
