When an individuals life is a plug away their existance is not just for themselve but those left behind. For if only one sibling is left with the responsiblity of making this life and death decision for said individual the rest of the family may never be the same. Others might feel differently on possible last minute experimental treatments or behind the norm chances causing the plug to be pulled on more then one life. As arguments, innuedo’s and guilt fill those who are left behind. That is why life and death decisions must be unaminously agreed upon by all those siblings or their spouses who are present. Individually they could have the best of intentions but together they can go on living with it even if their loved one has departed.
