Columbus for his time
I had a discussion with some individuals of this generation concerning the legacy of Christopher Columbus and it was quite different then the one I was raised with. For in our days we adjusted our thoughts on a person based on the time period they came from and as such the norm of the society they lived in. While today many of the young people view our ancestors based only on the time period that they exist in now.Let me state it clearly that slavery in every generation is “wrong” and Christopher Columbus support for said institution was wrong but today that evil is seen in a more visible light then it was in the past. Every generation G-D willing discovers new humanity and continues to grow. We shouldn’t condemn our ancestors for despicable acts from today’s world for if so we will ourselves will be linked to condemnation by our successor in a future that might be closer then it seems.

Taylor Swift- Shake It Off
Taylor Swift was one we all could get behind as she knew we listened to her for her beautiful voice not political viewpoints. Yet last night she became another one of our political pundits as she strongly endorsed the opponent of Marsha Blackman. Mrs. Swift says she has taken such a strong stance because of Mrs. Blackman’s position on several issues she feels aligned with but I believe it has more to do with connections to the industry as a whole. An industry where musicians are supposedly “brave” by taking a political stance to the all too common left. Yesterday Taylor Swift was a musician we all could listen to but now yesterday seems so far away I just wish she could shake it off and get back to the music instead.

Believe In Me!
I guess all I want is you to believe in me and I’m not sure you ever have. Maybe I’m looking at it in the wrong light but it’s never been that bright. I understand the need to protect me and skeptism yet there is a way to still believe as well as ask those specific questions to make sure I dotted those I’s. It is true I can get hurt but sometimes there is a chill in the air and yet I must breathe. For me creativity is that breathe and I realize now it’s enough if I truly believe in me alone but it would be nice to have some loved ones along for the ride.

Bud Rebel Chocolate Bar
I’m in discussions with several extremely talented individuals concerning the developed of the Bud Rebel Chocolate bar and although much has still to be decided some of the basic concepts appear to be coming together. Here are just a few.
(1) BITE SIZE– The Kiss has been left alone in the marketplace for too long a Rebel is waiting to enter this ring.
(2) CRIOLLO BEAN – This strand of bean is a bit more unique then Trinitario & Forastero and will therefore introduce a new flavor to most taste buds.
(3) ACCENTS- Slight accents of flavor will be added to the mix possible including Cinnamon, Vanilla & Whiskey but still tasting away.
(4) GUATEMALA BASED- We expect the beans to primarily come from this
(5) 86% CACOA – To tell you the truth this number isn’t fixed but it must be above 80% and lower then 90% so we’ll have to see where this goes.
(6) UNIQUE PACKAGING- I want to develop a packaging that stands out in a way which is really delicious to the eye.
(7) KOSHER CERTIFIED- It might not pass every certification but enough to allow most of the faith and non faith to enjoy.

$25 Chocolate Bar
Everyone who knows me understands I love good Chocolate but my love does not go to $25. Last night I saw a Chocolate Bar that reached that price point and although I was tempted I didn’t bite into this Cocoa seed. For maybe it had more to do with the region it was coming from the Upper East Side of Manhattan rather then the contents inside. Yet if this bar was found on sales for $23.00 I might even think a bit harder about exposing myself to this financial abuse. $25.00 Chocolate Bar I can only imagine what you taste like and that’s all I do for now.

Dvar Torah- Notes – 12/1/18
I’m planning my D’var Torah that I’m scheduled to deliver on 12/1/18 and have decided to keep you on the loop as it progresses in front of you day to day (see below). Over time modifications will be made and you will see it occur within your eyes.
I’m eager to tell you some exciting news in my life and show you possessions that I have recently acqurired yet I worry about being boastful or even leading others to thoughts of envy. This is a battle we must all balances and one which Joseph with his incredible dreams as well as beautiful coat dealt with as well. Modesty is important but it can also do a great deal of harm.
(1) Doctor in the house- Rebbetzin Yocheved Weinbach
Yet openly boasting has led too many to hate instead of love. A jealousy that can turn to rage in which innocent talk is used by other to incite violence and all forms of Anti- someone.
Let me suggest that there might be path which could work for all as I add a bit of creative license do the story of Joseph in the summation.
Yet how do we write this story in our own life’s. Telling our own moments without ego leading the way Alan Morinis from “With Heart In Mind” has helped me to fill in some of the spaces as I continue study Mussar. Mussar in a nutshell is “Jewish Self Improvement based on the good book.
Here’s a few ways that could keep us all level headed.
(1) ACKNOWLEDGEMENT- Know that G-D has put you in the space you are in with all the facilties you have been provided. Yes, you worked hard to get there but if the engine wasn’t running and you were driving in the woods you’d be stuck.
(2) CREDIT- It may not take a village but a group of friends, family and even acquaintances that have inspired you to go this far. Thank them before you thank yourself.
(3) WITH LOVE & HUMILITY- Try to listen to the story you are about to tell as if you were the one receiving it.
(4) SHARE- Maybe the coat should have turned into scarves in the end.
(5) LISTEN- Even as you have a great story to tell listen to those who’s story is great to them.
(6) JEALOUSY INSIDE- Realize that with every gift there is an extra burden-
(a) Fancy Cars need Fancy Insurance,
(b) Having a great position- might be having a lousy leisure life-
(c) What looks good in another’s’ closet really doesn’t fit the closet you’re in now.
(d) Be happy for others might just make you happier for yourself.
I hope that I will be able to incorporate these teachings in my life not only as one who has good stories to tell but one who receives them too. This has not always been the case for at times my mind has swerved into “why not me”and “isn’t fair”. I pray that my soul will catch me when that occurs to thank G-D for others success and be thankful for what is on my table as well.
So here’s my new edited verstion on the Joseph story.
(2) Joseph says to his brothers G-D has provided me with this incredible dream that I need your wisdom to understand what it truly means for it makes no real sense to me. If in some way it appears arrogant in any way please forgive me for it’s not my intention I only mean to share it with those that I respect and love. Please also tell me about your dreams as well.
This might have not changed the 400 years which were already quote planned but at least it might have had a happier beggining.
May G-D similarly bless you all with great rewards of happiness and success in whatever endeavors you shoot for and the ability to share the story with others who will feel only love for you not envy. So we all can reach for the stars that appear on our night’s sky with happiness, health and love.

Eden & Sabbath
You won’t be running around in your birthday suit but there is feeling of Eden in those that observe the Sabbath. For while during the week you worry about the mundane of paying the bills as you try to make a living, on the Sabbath you leave it all in G-D’s hands instead. This is a time where whatever naturally is in your life in the moment is supposed to be enjoyed then. Your Eden is with your good friends/ family as you enjoy this location of peace and happiness. So enjoy your little taste of Eden while you can for tomorrow the Apple will be falling in a totally different location.

Lawsuit against Traffic
I would like to bring a class action law suit against traffic and all those who perpetrate this unjustice on our lifes. This lawsuit would name all the different levels of government who have a monopoly on how we travel as ocomplainant . Traffic has caused compensatory damages to us all who travel whether it is loss of income from positions we have come to late to or events we couldn’t attend because it got in the way. How many of us will suffer from it’s punitary effects as well whether it be the air pollution it causes or the undue stress on our body and our loved one’s as well, Traffic also ties up our mind from productive thoughts that could move the world in a better direction. So let’s bring this class action lawsuit for it might be a waste of time but we wasted more of it in traffic.
