Yesterday I was embarrassed as if I was still in grade school but luckily nobody was there to see it. So why am I going public with it because it’s funny. I’ve been a Met fan for many, many moons but lately those moons have been a bit dark as I’ve forgotten many of the players. Last night that forgetfulness came to a head as I listened to the Met’s try to squeak out a win in extra innings. My cheers were loud enough to push that run through only to find as “they” got home that I was rooting for the wrong team and the Cardinals flew away with the win. Yes it’s embarrassing but at least no one else saw what occurred and next time I’ll be looking instead of just listening.
