Tavis Smiley is fighting back and it’s good not only for him but for society as a whole. He will not go away quietly after being fired from PBS for being “accused of sexual misconduct” which he strongly denies. Mr. Travis feels that his reputation was ruined without having a proper chance to state his case and will fight all the way up the court channels to regain his reputation. The problem of course is this is PBS and we the public will be paying this public channel’s legal bills even if they are completely wrong which it appears they just might be. Yet for the good of society “innocent till proven guilty” should not just be a standard in the courtroom but be a standard in all our life’s aspirations.
