WARNING THIS MIGHT HURT YOUR FEELINGS… but it’s true
President Trump has shown that he adheres to constitutional authority better then many of his precedents combined. Instead of dictating policies from the Executive Branch he has moved back much of that power back to the legislative branch where it belongs. Here are just a few examples.
(1) DECERTIFY IRAN’S NUCLEAR DEAL– The President understands that only Congress has the ability to agree on treaties and the way the former President handled this matter was unconstitutional. The Congress now has the ability to accept this treaty even w major flaws, amend it or revoke it altogether.
(2) DACA (Dream Protection) – The former President might have meant well but of course he doesn’t have the power to make laws just enforce those on the books. Congress needs to do their job and pass this legislation if they believe it is best for the people.
(3) INSURANCE BAILOUT– Congress must decide how monies should be allocated not the executive branch of government.
(4) PARIS AGREEMENT– Here is another treaty that should have at least had the advise and consultation of the legislative branch before such an act could be taken.
