It’s all in the response and sometimes the answer isn’t that clear. We hope a marriage proposal only has one three letter response but it can change before the wedding day vows are said. Other less dramatic answers might be less about us but how others actually perform. It also might be that our question is asked at just the wrong time to get the response we want, “you’re hired”. The worst is when one’s response is kept waiting and waiting until literally hell has to get a few more jackets. The response moves us forward or back but at least it should keep us going.
