Other then professional help how many people really care “how are you”? I’m sure there are plenty of people that ask you this question but how many will spend the time and effort to listen to your full response? Just as important is do you actually tell them the full story or do you edit depending on what you believe their reaction will be? Maybe you don’t fully know how you are because you’re suppressing some deeper emotions or projecting some emotions on others that are hidden beneath the surface. How are you therefore is not as simple question as one might think and the answer might truly depend on who is asking and what you want that answer to reflect.
