Intelligence is overrated when considering a person for a position in any corporation. Don’t get me wrong it’s important to have the basic information but without the emotional stability, character, drive and quick think outside the Triangle it’s just doesn’t fit. We spend so much time and energy studying someone’s IQ or test scores and sometimes forget about the things that make the individual tick and also tock. Emotional stability will insure a calm rational decision is made and one that solves the problem not enhances it. Drive is the push to make sure that problem is solved today not next week. Character insures that this solution doesn’t cut the company into pieces and thinking outside the Triangle will insure it has a way to come together if that was such the case. Intelligence is a great starter block but without the other pieces it will eventually fall down on your entire company.
