I was shocked to discover a friend of mine that didn’t plan to celebrate Thanksgiving and regret not saying “Thanksgiving is for all American’s”. This individual might have felt that the grave mistakes our country made in it’s founding (slavery, sexism, exploitation) weren’t worthy of celebration but couldn’t he open his heart to the revolutionary changes at the time and how we have evolved as a people. Would he judge this country based on the values of yesteryear or consider how great we continue to become every year since. I believe it’s important that all American’s come together on Thanksgiving no matter what they’re background or experience and thank G-D for the peace, prosperity and freedom that we continue to enjoy in this wonderful land called America. May G-D bless you all with a wonderful, peaceful Thanksgiving with your loved one’s and may the freedoms we are blessed with spread throughout the world.
