Celebrating-Martin Luther King Day

Martin Luther King Day

I strongly believe in the powerful message that Martin Luther King brought to our nation of non-violence and not judging a person by what is on the outside, but a whole day? Please note this also goes for Labor Day,  Veteran’s Day, Columbus Day, and yes even “Mother’s Day” (father’s deserve their day).  For I can listen to Martin Luther King speech or read a book on his great works but that truly wouldn’t take a whole day unless I was a really slow reader or it was a very long book.  On Veteran’s Day I should thank a Veteran or two but again a few hours would be more then enough.  The truth is before we create such national holidays there should be an itinerary attached with various activities listed from 9AM-5PM that we should be able to follow to “correctly” observe such holidays. In closing I want to wish everyone a happy Martin Luther King’s day even if it’s really observed for an hour or two.
