Complaining about getting a B on a paper might seem to be arrogant to those who normally receive a D. You’re closeness to a friend might get much smaller as you discuss your new office while they have a cubicle. Yet some can be proud of your achievements even if they aren’t close to it themselves so test the water will small pieces of information and gauge their reaction. If it’s hot then continue along that path but if it starts getting cold maybe it’s best to speak to others who might understand where you are coming from.
